janositamas Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Hi Guys, Here is my slightly modified Fujimi Prius. The front end was a little bit reshaped, also the rear "wing", used HD rims and some leftover PE brake discs and calipers from my parts box. The body color is some mixed automotive paint topped with 2k clear.
PatW Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Well done Tamas, super looking Toyota, thanks for sharing.
sjordan2 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Beautiful piece of work. Edited April 26, 2013 by sjordan2
cobraman Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Never thought I would say this but...... thats a nice Prius.
Rob Hall Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Sharp build...nice to see one with larger wheels/tires than the tiny ones the 1:1s have...I see so many of them everyday, they blend in after a while.
Porscheman Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Never thought I would say this but...... thats a nice Prius. I have to agree with Cobraman, nice Prius!!!
W-Machine Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 That build turned out real nice. Is a Prius a common sight in Hungary?
rmvw guy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 You know a Prius is not supposed to look that good? Here in America people always make fun of them, I know because we have one in our garage, my wifes car. She loves it and that's all that matters to me. You obviously must love your Prius too. Who knew one could look that good?
moparfarmer Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Very nice job on your Prius..The only thing missing, which would destroy your model, are taxi cab decals. Nice clean build on one of the worlds most mundane automobiles...
martinfan5 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I like the wheels ,they fit it well, nice color too
slusher Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Never thought I would say this but...... thats a nice Prius. X3.
Yahshu Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Never thought I would say this but...... thats a nice Prius. X4
TFchronos Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Never thought I would say this but...... thats a nice Prius. X5
58 Impala Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Nice job, nice paint. But I have one question....a Prius?...why?
Mike 1017 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Nice work. I saw a mattress going down the road yesterday. It had a Prius tied to it. !!!!!
Tom Geiger Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) Your model looks great. I was looking at this kit on Hobby Link Japan the other day. My uncle and his sons, my cousins are very into the hybrid thing. My uncle has a hybrid Camry and a Prius. Son number one has a hybrid Highlander and traded his Prius in on a Nissan Leaf. Son number two has two Prius. I've driven his Leaf and it's quite different a feel than a normal car. I used to have an electric Cushman at my work and it felt sorta like driving that. And they haven't had a dimes worth of trouble with any of the Toyota hybrids and several of them are up over 100,000 miles. And yes I was planning on building the Prius kit as a taxi. That is such a common sight in the USA as we struggle to clean the air in our larger cities. Edited April 27, 2013 by Tom Geiger
Geno Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I commend you Tamas, you took the ugliest car and actually made it look cool.
janositamas Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 Thank you guys! Why a Prius? OK, don't take me crazy but I kinda like them. OK, only the front end and the side silhouette, but I don't take it so seriously ugly. Is there anything wrong with me? Probably OK, it was only a quick escape build from the another ongoing projects, some more scale Ferraris are waiting for me...
Tom Geiger Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Nothing wrong with you Tamis. It's the guys who had to make fun of the Prius I wonder about.
