Brizio Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 It is Saturday, and it is ready for race! Here the picture... Here a little bit of story and the picture of the build. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77009
HondaSan72 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I've never seen anything like this before... Looks intriguing! Good job!
curt raitz Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Love it... I built a collection of the Briggs Cunningham Racing Cars in 1/43rd scale, in 1/25th scale this "Le Monstre" must be that! not much available in the larger scales, just a Cunnungham CR-3 from "Fisher Models" was hoping he'd cast a CR-3K to go with the CR-3 thanx for sharing a little history with us
TooOld Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I have a book titled "American Road Race Specials" with a good article on this car . Your model looks exactly like the real thing !!! Congrats on a great build !
cobraman Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Looks great and you knocked it out pretty quick.
Brizio Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Thank you all guys! @Bob, Another member mentioned that book. I will have to buy it, maybe there are some other interesting cars... Thanks again!
Ridgeback Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I had a picture when I was a kid, of a Cunningham Caddy at LeMans. That is an exceptional model.brilliant
Porscheman Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Great build!!! My dad always told me about this car, he got to see it in person and always wanted me to build one.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Outstanding execution and finish. I love this model. Will stand out at any table or display.
Silver Foxx Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Seen photos of the real car , never seen one modelled before, nice work on this.
Brizio Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Thank you SilverFoxx, when I start to search information about this car, I found a kit in 1/43 scale. It is a resin kit, only body shell and bottom, no engine. But a good base to detail.
