crazyjim Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Just saw the kit you posted. Mine was looking pretty decent until the tape mishap. Most of the paint came off with a dunk in brake fluid. Cleaned the body off and stuck it back in for more removal.
XJ6 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Lost a $100.00 lottery Ticket... Tore my room apart looking for it....mmm... wonder if it could have been my house keeper?
cobraman Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Found out after almost 6 weeks of waiting for our living room set that we ordered from Wayfair that it was lost. ?????? How do you loose a sofa, love seat and matching chair ?? Order canceled and we will be buying from Living Spaces on Saturday. No more Wayfair for me !
XJ6 Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Wow I recall when you first posted this and that was a long time ago, I would be very upset my self indeed, Hope all works for the best for you
Tom Geiger Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 In the last year I joined a local stamp collectors club. They asked me to do a formal presentation on my specialty, the US postal period of 1903-1908. I probably had 40 hours into this project and turned out a 70 slide PowerPoint presentation that took a bit less than an hour. It was very well received and I was pleased it was over! Then they went into the business meeting and one of the officers made a suggestion to move the meeting time from 7pm on third Tuesday of each month, to during the daytime! His reasoning? Maybe there's an old member or two who would come to meetings but won't drive after dark! It went around the room and most of the old goobers agreed! What a bunch of putzes. We just had a presentation a few months ago where the head of the American Philatelic Society gave demographics that the growth in the hobby is people in their 50s. And these clowns want to restrict membership to retired people? Never mind that the three newest members... me included... are all of working age and would have to leave the club. If they adopt this, they've virtually killed the club.So instead of leaving the meeting feeling good after I gave a presentation, I left totally peed off.

PontiacRich Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Went to a Dr. Appt. today my Friday off, only to find out it is actually scheduled for next Friday. I don't have next Friday off, so I had to reschedule for a week after next.
Draggon Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 A water pipe in my house has burst inside the concrete slab the house is built on. I have no idea how much trouble this is going to be. All I know for sure is that jackhammers will be involved.
crazyjim Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Probably a concrete saw first if you know the path of the pipe.
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 A water pipe in my house has burst inside the concrete slab the house is built on. I have no idea how much trouble this is going to be. All I know for sure is that jackhammers will be involved. That really sucks. It may be a lot easier to just bypass it...IF you can get to the ends where it enters the slab. The idiots who built my last house ran the hot-water pipe from the water heater to the kitchen and laundry room in the slab, a distance of about 30 feet, so before you got any hot water there, you had to let it run long enough to heat up the concrete all the way too. Morons.
Tom Geiger Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Went to a Dr. Appt. today my Friday off, only to find out it is actually scheduled for next Friday. I don't have next Friday off, so I had to reschedule for a week after next.Same thing happened to me on Friday! I had a 5:20 appointment and when I got there they told me my appointment was 3:15. Then they told me they left a message on my answering machine Thursday that they changed my appointment. I checked my phone, no calls from them! I work from home on most Fridays so the best they could do was two weeks from now. Not the first time they've done this either!

I work from home on most Fridays so the best they could do was two weeks from now. Not the first time they've done this either! So they called you within the 24 hour notice so you could not bill them. In a sarcastic voice "That was nice of them". We all understand when things come up but 2 weeks is bad.
Earl Marischal Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 The coil spring on the front suspension driver's side breaking on my Peugeot Estate as I left for work. Got it to local garage, so there's a couple of days wait and a bill. All due to a lack of road maintenance according to my spanner man. Bah! steve
Tom Geiger Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 A few years ago I had the right front strut break on my Dodge Grand Caravan as I turned into my driveway. I was okay with that since 5 minutes before I was going 80 MPH on the Turnpike!
HomerS Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 This was funny when you were in your college years and share a place with your buddies but when you've been married for 20 years AND have a ten year old who doesn't understand why he is not getting his allowance.....garbage can Jenga has lost its humor!!!!!!!!!
Joe Handley Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Welp, got to use my TruGreen provided insurance for the first time yesterday after an absolutely miserable weekend and having to call in sick on a work day. Turns out I've got the early stages of bronchitis and was prescribed an meds in pill and inhaler form the side effects of the latter include Dizziness, anxiety, runny nose and plugged up nose, dry mouth, jitteriness, elevated heart rate, and insomnia. Of course, the last 3 make themselves very apparent just as I was trying to relax and get some sleep.... Haven't run into the dizziness or anxiety yet, but I am quite irritated at the moment.
iamsuperdan Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 What irked me yesterday? Being a professional irked me. I sometimes wish that I could take the low road and out someone for their nonsense. I run the leasing division of our company. We have about 4000 vehicles out on lease right now, out of our total fleet size of about 14000. We have a customer that has had credit and payment issues over the past 18 months. Eight NSFs, they moved and gave us a fake address, we had to switch them to credit card payment, and it's been a constant fight with them to receive payment in the month it's due. They haven't made a lease payment since November, so after repeated warnings, we repossessed their truck in February. Now the husband (who is not on any of the lease contracts) is calling and yelling/complaining that "out of nowhere" we took their truck, and that we have to give it back. Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss the lease or details with him because he is not on the lease contracts, only his wife is, but she will not talk to us. So the more he calls, the angrier he gets. Now he's taken to one of our social media pages to complain about how we stole his truck and are just a greedy corporation that works outside the law. Our marketing department is doing a very good job of explaining our position, in a firm yet professional way. However, I would love to post all of the issues we've had over the past 18 months and see how he responds to that. The email chains, the phone calls, etc. Call him out on their actions. Unfortunately, we're grownups, we're professionals, and we just can't stoop to that level. Being a grownup sucks sometimes! On a related note, if anyone wants a clean 2013 Ram 1500 Sport quadcab, full load with low km, let me know. lolz

Joe Handley Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Mom is back in the hospital, again, some of it is likey the longstanding problems she has been suffering from, some might be from the bronchitis she caught from me a couple weeks back.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 (edited) The walking, talking human excrement that preys on less-knowledgeable people on the internet. I got one of those phony "Microsoft Security" BS scare scams that locks up the computer and says in its machine voice that YOUR COMPUTER SECURITY HAS BEEN BREACHED>>>DO NOT SHUT DOWN YOUR COMPUTER>>>CONTACT THIS PHONE NUMBER IMMEDIATELY >>>YOUR DATA AND CREDIT CARD NUMBERS AND PASSWORDS ARE BEING STOLEN>>>!!!!!!!!!!!I know how to deal with this carp, and my machine is fine, but where the HELL is the federal government in all this?If I ran things, I'd have really TOUGH laws on the books to deal with malicious "mischief" and computer crime, and have law enforcement tear into these lowlife SOBS like a pack of rabid pit-bulls.But no, just la la la la la la la la. Lordmodelbuilder Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 The fact that I have been waiting since January to have a couple MRI's done. Was supposed to have one done tomorrow and the other on Monday.I get a call from the imaging place today confirming my appointment for tomorrow, but said they can't do the one on Monday.Seems they have to be done at least 7 days apart. I asked them why they had them scheduled too close. They didn't know and now have waitingtill mid May to have it done. So upset!!!
disabled modeler Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 The fact that my daughter's boyfriend was beaten up because he is black.Low-life racist scum like the perpetrators do not belong in any decent society.steveSorry to hear that Steve...some people have nothing to contribute to society and need to be locked up since they cant offer anything positive to the world. In my area there is a few that should be...shame some people think they have to be like that.
