Last time i went to the doctor, i was the first appointment... 8 am,  and still waited 20 minutes... go figure.

I went to the doctor on Friday. I had a 2:45 appointment and I needed to get home as soon as I could because I had to go to NJ that evening... I sat in the waiting room a half hour. People who came after me for other doctors came and went.  I finally get put in an exam room and sat there another 40 minutes.  The doctor came in and apologized that there was an emergency that came in. It would have been nice to know up front so I would have had the option of rescheduling.

Still, that was much better than the time I went to an optometrist for a diabetic eye exam.  The doctor put these awful eye drops in my eyes and told me I needed to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes for them to take effect. Half hour... 45 minutes... I'm the only person there... finally I made my blurry way up to the front and they looked surprised to see me.  The doctor had gone home!

For the record, I do not get to look at every thread that is posted. When a thread is brought to my attention, I go and check it out and move if necessary. Rather than complain, use the report post function like others do. It gets results. I personally consider Rancheros and El Caminos to be cars (maybe others do not). I will look for the UTE.

Usually, accounts do not get deleted. The user just stops using it. I am not able to delete an account, I can only ban it. Having your account banned is a bad thing.

What irked me today? Hmmmmm....grown men behaving like spoiled brats.

Maybe he is, in fact, a spoiled brat who merely lied about his age?  There may be other explanations ...

That I can shrug off. It's the totally uncalled for threats directed at the management that irk me. Those really spoil the atmosphere here.

What irked me?   Reading the thread started by Harry's daughter asking how to handle his collection.  There were a lot of nice thoughtful posts. Someone mentioned a donation of a model to the International Model Car Museum and two characters just couldn't hold back on trashing the museum... several posts worth..  right in the middle of this solemn thread.  Have you people no sense of anything but your own self serving posting?  Sad.

You are right, theirs a UTE and a Ranchero there right now....

And a note to the management, I sent an e-mail asking for my account to be deleted, ITS NOT!!! Have I got to get nasty?

It appears you already are nasty.

What's the problem?  Don't want to participate here, walk away.  Your post will disappear into oblivion eventually and no one will miss you.  *poof*   Your anonymous carcass will be out of sight and out of mind.

And, neither a moderator nor a root host will have to waste his time pushing the delete button.

Agreed.  Have they even been there?  Do they know what of they speak?

Having Marcia make me mop the floors today and now waiting for the tile to dry before moving the chairs back into place.

Wow, Jim!   Dude, you sure have a tough existence going for you, there, m'man!   LOL.

{BTW:  To all the shoulder-chippers anxious to jump on my comment;  stand down.   I'm real sure Jim's post was tongue-in-cheek.  Just joining the fun.}

YEA!  You should be grateful that you have FLOORS!  The rest of us live in dirt floor huts and when we try to mop the floor we make mud!

Tom And one of them is still at it. My solution is the ignore feature. Both have ended up on my ignore list. Trolls in my book.

When i posted a pick-up in the general "under glass " section, because nobody really looks in the truck section, only to have it removed inside 20 mins,

BUT, there were 2 other pick-ups in the same section, and have been there for quite some time......

Consistency of the rules would be nice , I deleted the whole thread, i'm done here , your loss..  it is a nice build..

Guess I'll have to have that sump pump replaced every few years whether it needs it or not, as I'm not goin' through this again. That does irk me, however stuff like that does happen. Oh well.

Couldn't you install one of those water alarms to warn you about the water lever raising?  That would give you some warning that you need to do something before the space floods.

well , sliced the end of my thumb off on the table saw yesterday morning , lost about a half inch below the thumbnail . That's what I get for wearing cloth gloves working around power tools , a spiral of metal caught in the glove when I tried to pull it free and yanked my hand into the blade . Now I get to go to the orthopedic surgeon and have him tell me there's nothing he can do , nothing left to sew up , might have to work on the bone , it splintered a little on the tip . Should make vacation at the beach next week fun  , was looking forward to doing a little deep sea fishing , not so sure now . All in all it could have been a lot worse , just have to adjust to thumb bandaged hand now.

Robert, your thumb makes me feel grateful my issue this week is the California building code requiring that I upgrade all plumbing, wiring, and maybe even my furnace because I have to repair a leaking water pipe in my concrete slab. When I read "splintered" and "bone" that geeked me out :o

Ouch, sorry to hear that Robert as I've cut the tip of my pinkie finger in a meat slicer back in the 60's. Also I'm a retired sheet metal worker and once had to get stitched up twice in one month. One more time and I would've quit the trade. Good luck with your mend.

They just got whacked by Mark Gustavson himself!

Then one of them complained that it should have been done in a PM!

Um no, make up garbage on the board,  it gets corrected on the board!
