That it is around 80f (27c) outside not a cloud in sight and i have to drive for 2 hours soon and the ac is out on my jeep...
Atleast the driverside window still rolls down.. the rest are broken in both mechanical and electrical ways...

Is it just me or does anyone else dislike posts that are made using Comic Sans font? I know I'm getting old but I find it difficult to read. Don't mind it in someones signature line but I dislike it in an entire post.

Went to a different than normal for us Walmart for a few groceries. Saw a few sub sandwiches that were reduced due to the date. Grabbed 2. Well, the cashier had problems with the scanning on one of them, thought he had it fixed, but after we got in the car we took a close look at the receipt and found we paid for 2 at full price(which we didn't get, he had apparently not deleted the sale and rang it up several times while trying to get it right) PLUS the actual one we bought at it's reduced price. Cost over $10 extra just because we tried to save a few bucks, which is important right now.

This store does not have the display that shows what you are buying like the one we normally go to, so I couldn't be sure what was happening.

I guess it was my fault for grabbing one that did not have the original barcode fully covered by the reduced price sticker, and for going to a different store in the first place. It was by another place we had to stop at. Sheesh.

I almost never make any purchases Wal Mart for this very reason. When I get to the checkout it seams as though at least one or two items never ring up as marked on the package or the display area. Can't prove if this is by design or just sloppy workers. Now with the proliferation of self checkout they can now say it was your error if you catch it. Now add your experience to how many other shoppers and you can see a great ripoff in action by Wal Mart.  One of the local TV stations did a report last year on this very type of thing and Wal Mart was the biggest offender.

You're so right Vince,after all if one doesn't like their dinner partner why are they there at all? I know that if I were dating someone and she had spent time lookin' at her iPhone instead of enjoying the night out, I would get up from the table and leave. I know that I'm "old school" but using those phones in certain places is just plain rude.

So funny.  We were at Carabba's a couple of weeks ago sitting across from a couple that got off their phones to eat and then right back on the stupid things.  Lovely night out for them.

You guys will get agreement from me on that. The old coffee clutch at the counter of the local diner/coffee shop is a vanishing relic. If I ever owned a coffee shop, bookstore, hobby shop, etc. I would have cell signal jamming put in and no BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH WiFi. Ok, the troglodyte will pull the rock back over the entrance.

Had been thinking about going to the Phoenix ComicCon. Too much to do yesterday so was thinking about today. Well yesterday afternoon after he made threatening posts about offing police on some social media, this nutwad was caught inside with 3 handguns, a shot gun, miscellaneous knifes, bunch of ammo, and wearing body armor. Well now number of entrances reduced, more screening, NO PROPS (not just simulated guns) allowed. No statements on how he got it with real guns, but now everybody is put in the bind: a stormtrooper without his rifle, Obie Wan without a light saber, Bruce Lee not even allowed foam nunchucks. Too much to deal with, since with the size of the crowd and parking hassles which make me crazier it was a stretch for me to try and go anyway; but wanted to check out the art work. Oh well: other then 1st Fridays, the Art Museum is usually pretty quiet and don't use my membership enough as it is. Go sit in the Buddhist art area for awhile; or in front of my favorite Corot painting.

Been really sad this week on top of MS flare up, my Cat of 12 years died. Loved my son and greeted each one of us when we drove up. Wonderful stray That came my way starving 12 years ago. Maybe God will send me another one!!

Carl buddy...I am so sorry to hear that my friend.  Strays seem to be the best pets... ours are strays we took in...all are great companions.  I hope you find a little friend needing a good home.

Mark and Nick, all of my animals have been strays for 30 years. I am looking at a shelter and have one picked out. I still want one to show up one day as always.

Van Wert County Ohio, has had 17 Inches of rain for May 2017 and three days left till June! Had 15 .5 but got another 1.5 this evening making 17 inches so far. Plus a chance for more rain Monday afternoon. Our Farmers need a break, As alot of crops either got flooded out or has not yet been planted.
