Harry P. Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Remember... if you know the answer (if you know the source of the photo), do NOT tell us! That ruins the game for everyone else! The answer: REAL!
DonW Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I think it's a very beautiful model of a fantastic car, especially with the Halibrands and that injector set-up. There's just a few little details that don't quite look real. I wouldn't be too surprised if I was wrong though!
sjordan2 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Hmm. This is a tough one. But I'll go with real because the windshield frame looks less klunky than most models and the tires appear to be bearing some weight.
Belugawrx Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Very nice model Rear tire tread, no valve stems But those headlamp buckets and rear bucket weld wow Toughie
slusher Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I think its a model but with Harry it might be real...
Jantrix Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The frame horns are not boxed. I've never seen a model with that level of detail. But the lack of valve stems has me scratching my head.
Sixties Sam Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I'm guessing it's a very well done model.
DonW Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Club Cobra website has an interesting discussion on Halibrand vs. Trigos wheels - I quote: 'Rod-will the valve stems be inside the web like Trigo or outside like Halibrand? Does that mean what I think it does? Never heard of this idea before but it would explain why the valves aren't visible on the outside! Trigo is apparently a Halibrand lookalike wheel. I still think it's a model though. Edited January 27, 2014 by DonW
Agent G Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 For some reason I'm gonna go with Model. I'm with you Curtis, something tells me large scale Deuce. G
Guest Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Probably wrong, but my gut says very well done model.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) It's real as can be driven. 100% sure. It's a model because it's fake, it's just something made to resemble the original car made in 1932. Edited January 28, 2014 by Lovefordgalaxie
customsrus Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 ok its either a real model or a model of a real car, that should just about cover it.
Jantrix Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 It's real as can be driven. 100% sure. It's a model because it's fake, it's just something made to resemble the original car made in 1932. HUH?
skymnky721 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The valve stem issue,,could be inside the rim mounted? UUUmmm,,,not sure that makes sense. Whichever it is,,its a beautiful ride! Love that injected beast!
dimaxion Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) A real nice model . Lack of Tire Valves & discoloration , burnt , carbon covered , or flaking off paint are all lacking . Thanx .. Edited January 29, 2014 by dimaxion
s10chevypu Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 just going with model on this one. it looks like one.
horsepower Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I got in late on this one but I have to say real, just has that look.
DonW Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Fifty-fifty! A real (or model) cliffhanger this time...
Harry P. Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Well, the vote is about as close as can be... final vote 28 REAL, 27 MODEL. And the answer is... REAL!
DonW Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I was wrong but I'm kind of glad it's real! So - where are the tyre valves?
