JollySipper Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Have you guys ever heard of Keller Williams? He's an acoustic guitar virtuoso who has more fun with his music than should be allowed.... a bunch of his stuff sounds like BlueGrass, but he has songs with titles like "Doobie in my Pocket" and such. Anyway, he's done a cover of Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" in which he does all three parts as one song.... it's really good and worth a listen!

Snake45 Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Ricky Duran does a decent cover of Tom Petty's "Runnin Down a Dream" on Monday night's The Voice. This cat can straight-up shred on guitar, too.
mchook Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 (edited) One of favorite songs by "Blackfoot" done by "Warrent" Not too bad. Edited December 19, 2019 by mchook
afx Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 One of the great drum solos in rock history and this young lady does a great job with it! Starts at 6:30
Draggon Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 These days it's pretty amazing to remember the AM stations played all 17 minutes of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. ?
Snake45 Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Here's a great cover of Sam Smith's "Like I Can," with an original rock break/guitar solo about 2:00 in:
STYRENE-SURFER Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Joe Jackson covering his own song Ha Ha! I love how he just about plays it sideways. "Close you're eyes" and try to guess the song from the start. Oh I see it's already given away.
STYRENE-SURFER Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Another joe jackson song version not usually heard from the body and soul tour. (acapella this time).
STYRENE-SURFER Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) For those of you "That 70's Show" fans. (Cheap Trick) borowed that song from Alex Chilton (Big Star).Former lead vocalist of the (Box Tops) I do like the TV version though. So here is (Big Star), rather than the cover everyone is accustomed to hearing, as played on the Jay Leno show. HELLO WISCONSIN! Edited February 26, 2020 by STYRENE-SURFER

imarriedawitch Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 (edited) Anything Joe Bonamassa covers is generally really good. "Pretending" Edited February 29, 2020 by imarriedawitch
STYRENE-SURFER Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 (edited) The Modern lovers originaly recorded "Roadrunner" in 1972. Jonathan Richman has always been great.......................................................................................................... But then in the early eighties, around came the "Jazz Butcher". A totally fun, tight, entertaining group that ya kinda had to see to appreciate. (I wish I could find a copy of "Bath In Bacon/Scandal In Bohemia", you Butcher fans will know what I'm talking about.) Here Goes; Jazz Butcher, Roadrunner. (my favorite version) fast, crass and loud! Snake45 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Definitely one of my very favorite songs of the 21st Century. When they performed this version on TV last night, I got chills, and when it was over I giggled like a little girl:
charlie8575 Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Here's a few You might like. I like jazz and I like jazz instrumentals. These are exceptionally nice, and ones I accidentally discovered. Charlie Larkin
