Harry P. Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
rmvw guy Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Real gravel, not sure about the car. The wire wheels don't look right to me. This could be a fooler but, I say REAL.
peter31a Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I got it right with model last week so I'm going there again this week. Can I hit 2 fer 2?
customsrus Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 looks like a real model or is that a model of a real car, I am so confused.
gbdolfans Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I voted model this time.I think I did.OH NO,I am hearing that voice in my head again. It says REAL,but,I think he is playing tricks on me!!!! HHHHAAAAA HHHHAAAAAA HHHHAAAAAA!!!!! Anyway I will stick with model!!!!!
slusher Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 A little close picture might help. Another good one Harry..
otherunicorn Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 There is something about this photo that tells me that if this is a real car, I need to be very very scared.
patami Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Model (a big one) the gravel in the foregroumd dosent add up whit the rest of the road
Lovefordgalaxie Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Model. There are real car tracks on the sand, and they are way bigger. It's large scale tough, really large.
dimaxion Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I think this is a Model . The roundels just don't look painted . Decaled on a 1:1 , no . These are too opaque . The wheels are very good replicas . The Photo-shopping is most excellent . Professional job Harry . There is no distortion through the windshield . I don't believe there is room on the 1:1 for the buldge on the Cowl for a Tach ? . This is my Opinion and I'm sticking to it . Thanx Harry ..
rmvw guy Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Model. There are real car tracks on the sand, and they are way bigger. It's large scale tough, really large. I agree. Too late I already voted REAL. Large scale model, I am convinced now and no valve stems.
Lunajammer Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Looks like a little bit of forced perspective in the photograph. Model.
f1ford48 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) very cleverly done-but its a model-the wheels and headlites give it away-and the 1/1 size tire print in the dirt--nice model though-is it 1/8? or possibly bigger- and could it be a 3D printed job?-- thats what it looks like to me Edited May 30, 2014 by f1ford48

Matt Bacon Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Model -- the wire wheels are very impressive, but they don't look like quite right compared to real Cobra wired rims... bestest, M,
mikevillena Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 It's interesting to see the thought processes of the more experienced builders.
Harry P. Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 Final vote: 11 REAL, 31 MODEL. And the answer is... MODEL! http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2012/05/31/handsome-half-pints-colin-rules-tiny-tributes-to-the-big-healey/
Pete J. Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I found this web site earlier and all I can say is WOW! This is one crazy model. The guy has a real way with Healey's. If you had show a photo of the engine bay, I wonder how many would have chosen "real".
