Art Laski Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 This one sat in the Workbench section for quite a while, so it's nice to finally get it over here Under Glass. If you didn't happen to see it over there, this build was inspired by my little sister, whose name is Stephanie Rose. She told me her favorite car is a Willys. Also, her grandfather is automotive pioneer Ted Halibrand, so the Halibrand wheels were emphasized and wing nuts added. A Halibrand quick change was also installed, along with a few decals. The doors and trunk were opened, a fuel cell was made, and the blower was replaced with injection. Thanks for looking! Here's the build WIP: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63751&page=1

Chuck Most Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Loved seeing this one go together, and I'm liking the end result even better. The Willys is one of those few cars that can pull off being painted pink and still look mean.
