I haven't seen an amphibicar since I was a kid. There used to be one that I would see crossing the Columbia River at Howard Amon park in Richland, Wa. I always liked seeing it.

Sightings at Point Pleasant, NJ on Saturday. Super nice day out, people on the beach. We were there to participate in the Alzheimer's Walk. Spotted in one of the lots, this 1969 Ford Ranch Wagon. Patina galore but actually pretty solid.

Here's a funny one. Brand new Mclaren sitting outside an oceanfront home that faces the boardwalk. Car is in the first space on what should have been a quiet little alley like street dead ending into the boardwalk. Guy was quietly wiping down his car... and the entire 2000 plus person Altzheimer's Walk turns off the boardwalk and down his street. The guy was standing in protect mode as people streamed by on all sides of it! I waited a bit to get this photo. You can still see some folks in the purple shirts walking past.

Hate to do this to you Tom. But that '69 Ford wagon you saw? Is really a '68. Sorry buddy.

Oh crud, I can't seem to post anything right these days.... my mind is going.

Last Saturday I was eating my burger at In-N-Out outside when I saw a mild custom 1950 Chevy coupe painted light pink with magenta flames on the nose go through the drive-thru. Then a 1966 Mustang coupe in black primer passed by. Finally a few minutes later a blue 1962 Impala four door drove by. If the weather is nice, I like to eat my burger outside and watch the cars drive by. You never know what will drive by.

A few weeks ago we were eating at Sonic and I kept seeing cool cars drive by. I was thinking it was really nice weather and everyone and their brother had their cars out! We finished eating and go to leave and discovered that while we were there an entire cruise night had assembled on the other side of the building! Pretty darn cool!

Saw a slinky black Maserati coupe on north 1604 in San Antonio over the weekend. Good looking car, but it was kinda dirty and had a grievous dent between the driver's door and the rear wheel well. At the other end of the spectrum, I recently spotted a Buick Apollo in a ride-share parking lot under an I-35 overpass. That was worth a double take...

On my way into the city (from my house in CT) this morning @ 6:00, just under way in the dark, I make out the unmistakable grille w/fog lamps, wide stripes, and, as it passed, the distinctive taillights of a '68 Shelby Mustang.

Funny, a few years ago while driving into NY on I-684 at the same hour, with average morning commuter speeds in 80-90 mph range, dopes right on each other's bumpers (they play too many video games, wait 'til they find out what really happens). I have the CC set to 70 mph and what goes blowin' by me but a pristine '53 Hudson Hornet. Where was that guy going, at that hour on workday, in that car?

Two surprises today, both on car carriers. First, going south on I-94 near the Lake Forest oasis, was a semi pulling a full load of Buicks - all late '60s/early '70s full size, in nice shape. Someone moving a collection, or rentals for a period movie?

Second, a carrier passed in front of me on Buckley Road at the Navy hospital. On top was a scruffy but complete late '50s gray Porsche 356 coupe, and on the bottom was a BRG Triumph TR-4 that was seriously rusted, to the point that it had broken at the door jambs. Wonder how they intended to get that off the trailer... :(

Today-- a black Ferrari F430, a red Ferrari F430, an orange Tesla roadster (those are uncommon to see compared to the Model S), a clean dark green '70 Impala Custom Coupe, a white Rolls Royce Phantom (2nd Phantom I've seen this week), an orange w/ black CF roof E92 BMW M3 Lime Rock Edition..

Tucked in between some newer blah blah cars on the top rack of a car hauler I passed on the freeway was a sweet looking Alfa Romeo Giulia. Besides being very good to mint condition, what really set it off was it had a nice set of Mini-lites.
