Saw this one out of the corner of my eye as it was driving by.  Then I caught it in the parking lot of Starbucks.  Sorry for the crappy pic.  Best I could get because he was leaving.

Mercedes 300sl gullwing .

So I think this is pretty incredible.  I’ve never seen a 300sl in my life until today.

Saw the gullwing in the morning, and this evening I saw a white roadster!  Two in the same day!

I couldn’t get a picture of the roadster.  I was driving.

Theres an insane amount of money around here.  Also spotted three Vipers parked in a row together.

I’ve never seen a Gullwing on the street, but saw two black ones together (one tan interior, one red) at a Concours show and a silver one IIRC in a museum.

That’s exactly where you’d expect to see one too.  Never dreamed I’d see them running around town like any other car.

Guess it makes sense though.  This is supposed to be the wealthiest part of Michigan.

I've seen a grand total of 3: one in a dealer showroom in Tokyo when I was stationed there in the mid '70s, one at the National Auto Museum (the old Harrah's collection) in Reno, and this one out in the wilds of California a little over a 18 months ago so seeing one remains an occasion.

I am currently travelling in Scotland and today a number of Mustangs passed going in the opposite direction. I wondered if any of them were right hand steering. I pulled into a car park and there happened to be a right hand steering Mustang parked in front of me.

Looks like a ‘23 Mach 1. RHD Mustangs of the S550 generation were sold in the UK from ‘15 on I believe.  Don’t know if the new S650 will be.

The taxi was promptly overtaken this morning.
It was slippery for him on the cold morning tarmac.6AC60360-E31D-4321-81CD-47BFDBFCE3F7.jpeg.d475de2da53f2850410669ebf94b6a0e.jpeg

They, current RHD versions, are quite common in the UK now. There’s even a bright blue one in my village.

Wow you have banks open for humans! Most banks are closed on the high streets and in the UK are online and run by robots that don't answer the phone!

if they're as popular on the mainland as they are here i cant see why they wouldn't keep selling them. there must be 30 of them running around here now and at least 4 are this version. i think most are v6 though. they're so common we have a phrase for them but its not repeatable here, lol
