The 2.3 Ecoboost would be an awesome Pinto engine, as would a 2.0 Zetec. Being an aging curmudgeon, I personally tend towards old iron with carburetors. Having said that, I have seen a couple Zetecs fitted with Webers. Hhmmm...

there are kits for this very swap, but aimed at the euro mk1 and 2 escorts. personally i'd go for the 2.3 block block and source the rest from a sierra twin cam. you now have a basic injected pinto with around 145-165 bhp and a very solid engine to tune. if you feel like getting flashy, the cosworth engine is just a twin cam turbo pinto. also the engine blocks you want have a 205 or 215 stamped on them. these are the good blocks cosworth used, the other codes tend to pop over 350 bhp.

I saw a customized '57 Chevy parked on the side of the road with its hood up and its owner sitting in a chair on the sidewalk, waiting for roadside service, probably.

On the way back from town this morning saw a '69 Camaro barn-find on a trailer. The grille was missing or inside the car, car was covered in dust and had soft tires. Didn't look to be in really bad shape body-wise. $omebody is going to have a nice ride $ometime in the future.

How about above the road?
Yesterday, while driving back from Lake Havasu, there were three of the really big military helicopters flying about 100 feet above the road.

Also the stratolaunch aircraft was sitting outside its hangar at Mojave airport

Saw a fairly new Tacoma in front of me, It's not changing lanes, that was him going in a straight line. Guess the rear axle is tweaked, he was having trouble keeping it on the road. No visible damage except a small dent in the bumper.

The other thing was this old trailer that was aircraft riveted together out of small overlapping sheets of aluminum or steel. It had rivets every 6 inches or so. I that the way they used to be made?

Great looking top of the line Impala. What seems unusual to me is the hood emblem indicates a six-cylinder engine.
