Yeah, the guy who previously owned this car was going to do a GTO conversion, but changed his mind; thank goodness. I totally like LeMans and even Tempest better than GTO because they’re essentially the same car but you can get GTO essence for cheap if you buy LeMans/Tempest. This particular car also has a front bench seat, and power drum brakes front and rear. Probably going to change to front discs for more safety and easier braking. But unfortunately it will be a while before I can actually drive the car. We’re insured through Hagerty now, but for me I had to be excluded from that insurance until I get a full G licence and a vehicle in my own name. So the plan is to get the license and hopefully buy my dad’s truck so he can get a new one, and so I’ll have a vehicle in my name. 🤦‍♂️ Just  the way it is I guess.

Great looking paint and body. Noticed the "Sprint" and body side stripe. Is this something the painter added or is it the OHC 6?

Finally got to put some serious miles on the motorcycle today, rode over and cleaned up my grandparents Graves. Gramps served in WW2. The last of the parts for my ride on showed up and my wife found me a score of 3 kits on marketplace. One of which is the first kit I ever built. Today was a pretty good day.

My mother's father was Army, pfc2. I believe he was drafted. I never really had an opportunity to speak with him in any real sense,  results of a stroke just before my family moved to NY from R.I., but everyone always spoke highly of him, that alone speaks volumes to me. My Stepfather was Navy, and my sister is a Marine. She served around ten years, her service was extended due to 9/11.

It has the original rebuilt 350 V8. I think it just has that stripe to make that car look less blue. That blue colour though is the original colour re-painted after the car was painted bright yellow at some point in it's life.

Finally the stars aligned, Fakerri is running good, and a half decent sunset.  I owned a red/white MINI Cooper that glowed during Golden Hour, this should be fun.

A buddy of mine from the forum warned me to stay away from the "What irked you today page" due to the bad juju that it's page number carries (666). So I'm taking his good advice and coming over here to the good side!  So in approximately 12 hours I'll be heading to watch the Baltimore Orioles play the Chicago White Sox at Oriole Park at Camden Yards with my brother-in-law, daughter and my grandson. All around this will be an awesome outing. We won the tickets, it is my grandson's first baseball game to see in person and it will be with family. The only things that I can think of that would top it off is to have no rain and we win!

Was able to take my old Losi Night Crawler out for a run today, it’s only the successful run since 2021.
the original speed control died back then and I finally replaced that with a new speed control/receiver 2n1 unit only to find that both batteries I had were also bad. Got a new one and the axles started to squeak on me, so I tore those down last weekend and regreased the worms and spools in both axles. Planned on running it Memorial Day, but all the places I like to take these trucks were either busy with people or had somebody getting a traffic ticket, so we gave up and tried again Thursday night, only for me to discover that  the front drive shaft was not in the output on the transmission and was late enough that I couldn’t fix it before sun down that night.

My broken ribs are about 98% healed, just an occasional twinge if I move wrong.

Was able to work a full productive day back in the shop yesterday.

Yippee.   :D

Happy to hear that you’re healing up, I slipped and fell back on February, landing hard on my chest. Didn’t break anything but I hurt like a S.O.B for a month, so I can only imagine what you have to be feeling!

That Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville, GA is going to display one of my models there, a model of my beater car. The 1964 Dodge 330.

All thee years I've been timming palm trees with hand trimmers.  Today I tried a battery pole chain saw.  It worked great and I'll use in the future.  Cut the fronds, rake them up and put into the wheelbarrow.  Easy peasy.

Over the weekend I was able to finally put a permanent roof over the outside chicken run. They are now safe from predators (land and air) and will stay dry. No more muddy chicken run when it rains.

1) I feel good and I'm out the door in 5 to go work at the shop.

2) Gas prices are well under $3 per gallon again.

3) Eggs are back to normal in my area, and several other staple food items are way down too.

Was able to get the Highway Star out of hiding yesterday (not me driving it of course) as it had been a week in the garage. Got the temporary plates but no safety/mechanical yet, which technically you can only drive it to a place of car service, but we didn't go far. Stopped in at my grandma's to show her and one of my aunts the car. Both impressed. Then went to my Great Uncle's to show him as he came with us when we went to look at the car. Still working on getting his T-bird on the road; needs a couple things. The Highway Star goes into the Mechanic shop tomorrow to get some work done for the safety/mechanical so then we can drive it more often.
