espo Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Put some grass seed down in the bald spots in the back yard Wednesday , so the snow Wednesday night could push it into the soil.
MrMiles Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 I finally got my 1100 dollars back from my credit card after they made a mistake on a refund. It only took 3 months and 9 phone calls
Joe Nunes Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 The Sun is shining and we have lots of blue sky to enjoy. Tomorrow and Wednesday it's going to be in the middle '50's. HOORAY!! (We will absolutely NOT discuss the anticipation 32 degree temperature and snow for Thursday...). ???? Joe 1

I was rooting for the Eagles but in reality, I didn’t really care who won. It was a great game except for the idiotic fumble by Hurt and the Eagles Defense literally let not one but TWO receivers walk into the end zone unopposed. No doubt the Chiefs came in like gangbusters in the second half. Their opening drive of the second half really threw the Eagles defense off. The one thing that really irritated me throughout the game was the Eagles QB ran the shotgun formation every single time. Never a different formation except on 4th and 1. No wonder the Chiefs dominated the second half. They had them figured out. 6 hours ago, cobraman said: Looks like that field was not the best. So they say. It’s funny to see only the Eagles players changed their cleats but not the Chiefs. Why is that? The Chiefs didn’t have a problem playing on the field during the whole game. Overall, it was a great game. The halftime show…. not so much. Turned it on mute. Not a fan of Rihanna or her music and her dancing snowmen. One of the suckiest halftime shows I’ve seen. 1
Joe Nunes Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 While at the library last Saturday, Joyce and I picked up a few movies to watch at home and last evening decided to watch Peter Pan. Didn't realize it was the 1924 version...black and white screen and no voice. Had to read the screen script. Betty Bronson played Peter Pan and did a great job of it. I hadn't seen this version since I was a wee boy and really enjoyed watching the play. Then I realized the play was produced nearly 100 years ago! ? Wow! Joe
iamsuperdan Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Starting the hunt for a used tent trailer. Wifey admitted yesterday that with the kiddies now being older (15 and 18) we may not need the 35ft trailer to go camping anymore. So it's going away, and we'll find something a little smaller, easier to tow and store. The crazy thing is, tent trailers now can come with side slides, AC, retractable awnings, and all the things the bigger trailers come with. I just like having heat, and being able to sleep off the ground. The fridge is nice too.
cobraman Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I had a Starcraft tent trailer years ago. with the top up and the bed sides pulled out there is quite a bit of room inside. We had a lot of fun camping in the desert where nobody else was ever seen and the stars at night ? Amazing !
Snake45 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Realizing that I'll never again have to see one of those stupid Fanduel "Kick of Destiny" commercials. 1

misterNNL Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 My very patient wife of 59 years is celebrating her 80th birthday today. 3
MrMiles Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 (edited) My wife and I went to the Jurassic park live show. It was good. Definitely meant for young kids but we didn't know it ahead of time. If anyone has kids or grandkids that enjoy dinosaurs,I would recommend it. I probably would not recommend it for adults alone. I guess unless you love dinosaurs. My wife loves the movies and thought it was very focused for kids We had floor seats Edited February 22, 2023 by MrMiles
espo Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Well, my wife is retiring today. I have to take her to the restaurant where they are having a little gathering in her honor. The bad news is: 1. I'm the designated driver tonight. 2. Now she's going to figure out I have been goofing off all these years while she's been at work. 1
misterNNL Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Sharing dinner with our son and his lovely wife and watching our waitress prepare a smoked bourbon at our table.
cobraman Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Southwest finally paid my wife for the clothing we had to buy from them loosing her luggage ( mine not lost ) for 4 days . This was a nightmare trip for us to Virginia to see our daughter for Christmas which we did not make . Nothing from them for all the hours we spent in different airports due to delayed and cancelled flights . Probably over 20 hours sitting around if you add the time for the two flights out and the two return flights .
crazyjim Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 What a bummer but at least you got some cash.
HomerS Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 My youngest made the high school baseball team but they want him to scrimmage with the varsity team as a sophomore. He's pitcher but I had both of my sons learn all positions however both of them excelled at pitching. 1
JollySipper Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 The Bradford Pear trees are blooming here in the complex...... They make a mess, but they're nice to see! 1
