Mike_G Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 congrats Mike! Congratulations Mike! Hope you and your wife had a great day! Thanks, guys! We had a pretty laid-back day, worked in the yard a bit then played electronic battleship and I fixed some sesame ginger shrimp for supper.
Danno Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I am forever grateful to the men and women who sacrificed so much to create the greatest country in the world. It is how ever unfortunate many have forgotten that heritage... Amen.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) "Cream tangerine and Montelimart." This album is good music for working on my BB guns. Edited May 28, 2015 by chunkypeanutbutter
High octane Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Although it's hot out today, I was able to cut my lawn and that pleases me.
Chuck Most Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Ordered this on Saturday, and got it today. Nice little surprise for when I got home from work.
Rob Hall Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Had a very good day at work today. The website I was the lead developer on for the last 8 months at my client went live today...and it went live very smoothly, very few issues so far. I'm tired (was at the office since 5:30 am), but feeling satisfied and a lot of stress relief..
Joe Handley Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 The wounds on Mom's legs have improved even more than they were when I visited her last Monday!
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Ordered this on Saturday, and got it today. Nice little surprise for when I got home from work. Always liked Minnie Mo's, but they're not too common in the East so much as they were in the Farm Belt.
High octane Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I went to a cruise night tonight and saw a lot of old friends and met some new ones. Some really nice cars in the bunch as well. It sure beats stayin' home and watchin' TV.
Tom Geiger Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 My TV and Internet is back! I got home last evening to find nothing on my Verizon Fios was working. Then I remembered that I passed a herd of a dozen or so Verizon trucks working on poles in the pouring rain on my way home! So I knew the issue was local. My wife was near freaking out that she had no TV. She had nothing to do at all! Kinda funny. Me? I cleaned up my workbench and fiddled with some model stuff. No problem. My concern? I'm pleased that it came back about 9pm because I'm working from home today and need the phone and Internet for meetings. If that wasn't working, I would've had to drive an hour plus to the office! On a day I didn't need to be there! So I'm most pleased!
Agent G Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I'm on vacation! My brother in law and nephew get in this evening. It should get mighty drunk out this week........ G
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Got the custom instruments in from Classic for the '47 Caddy / LS build. Making good headway on the wiring harness and integrating all the electronics...got the remote entry system and the pushbutton start gizmos all up and functioning 100%. Getting close now...
unclescott58 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) Got a summer job working at an auto parts store literally one mile from house. It should be an interesting change from working with kids like I do during the school year. I'll only be part time. I asked to work no more than 20 hours a week. And have made it clear that I'll be for sure going back to my regular job in the fall. Start this Saturday. Both nervous and happy. Scott Edited June 4, 2015 by unclescott58
High octane Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Good luck Scott, and I hope that it works out for you.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 20 hours, darn you. One hour more than I can do a week! Good luck!
Olskoolrodder Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Waking up alive, and that I got paid finally (Hate that Bill took most of it...you know, when paying Bills
charlie8575 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Lots of good stuff in the last couple of weeks. Have a little contract gig starting up. I have a small modeling-related business that I think will be producing starting this summer. I decided to run for mayor of our city, so far, I've had very positive response. And today, just for fun when it was announced on the noon news, I went into Boston and tried out for Who Wants to be A Millionaire. Didn't make the cut, but it was fun, and I'd definitely go back and give it another shot. Charlie Larkin
cobraman Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Sounds like you have a full plate. Good luck in all your endeavors.
