Danno Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 G: You say you lost 60 lbs? Can't you find them? Want me to send you another 60?
Olskoolrodder Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Had a mini-road trip with my Wife and 1 of the kids (my youngest, the boy) to one of our favorite pizza places on the planet (something we don't get as often since we moved from that area ot this one--about 1.5-2 hours driving distance--after the house fire in 2011). Great pizza, and the best company to share it with (only coulda been better if my daughter had went with as well)
slusher Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Had a regular 4 month check up today. Lost another 2 lbs..... down to 227. BP is perfect 120 over 80 (the medication works). I'm good to go for hopefully a few more miles. Good to hear Rich...
Tom Geiger Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 We're headed to New Jersey! My wife feels well enough to go to our friend of 35+ years 60th birthday surprise party. Then depending on how that goes, we may sleep in our house in NJ and spend Sunday with my daughters. And that's a big thing! We've been housebound for the last several weeks since my wife's heart surgery. I didn't mind taking care of her, it was being in the house that really got to us. Now I know I can never retire!
Agent G Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 G: You say you lost 60 lbs? Can't you find them? Want me to send you another 60? Oh heck no! Took nearly a year to get this far! G
High octane Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 NO rain here today, so I was able to go to a cruise night at the local Dog 'N Suds and the place was packed. Lots of nice cars to look at and lots of friendly people as well. A great time, and it pleased me.
unclescott58 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Spent a beautiful day out in the country at an beautiful outdoor wedding for my best friend's daughter. The weather was perfect. The wedding went off without a hitch. Everybody seemed happy and having a good time. Saw a couple of friends I haven't seen in years. It was just great. My question is, when and how did Linda (the bride) turn into such a beautiful young lady old enough to get married? The last 24 years has flown by so fast. I was sure I hadn't aged that much, or that fast. But, then I looked at a photo of me reading a book to her and her two young brothers, dated from 1998. Man do I look old now compared to the 40 year old guy in that picture. But, it's okay. I'd have it no other way. I'm looking forward to watching Linda and Dave (the groom) go off on their life and adventure together. And pray that their life is as good for them as it has been for me. Tom Geiger Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 My wife and I took a nice quiet ride in the big Buick, to New Jersey for our friend's 60th birthday party. The party was catered by Famous Dave's so we ate barbecue... ribs, wings, pulled pork, until we could eat no more... and we were encouraged to since there was plenty left over! The best part is that my wife had been hesitant about venturing out after her surgery. The doctor assured her she was good to go, just not to over do anything. She was pleased she went since everyone fawned over her, and she got to see all her friends. She said she even had forgot about her surgery for the day! And that's the good thing. A big step in her recovery.
crazyjim Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 That's a good thing, Tom. Hope the rest of her recovery goes well.
cobraman Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 A nice day for the wife. I'm sure it did her a world of good.

Jantrix Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) Promoted at work! I was hired as a Tech 2, and was recently promoted to Tech 3 (T4 is the top). Average time to make T3 is about 7-8 years. I did it just shy of 4 years. It's nice to work for people that recognize drive, commitment and ability. Edited June 29, 2015 by Jantrix
