Should have third and I hope final test shot in hand in about 3 weeks - Would be really happy if box and instructions are all done and approved by then Edited August 22, 2014 by Dave Metzner
Art Anderson Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Geez, now I HAVE to get the Opel done, so I can start my test shots! Art
StevenGuthmiller Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Beautiful!! Can't wait for this one to come out!! Somehow, I was under the impression that this kit was going to be the hardtop version rather than the coupe. Maybe that one's coming next? Steve
Ramfins59 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Dave, that is one sweet looking model. It will wind up in my TO DO pile for sure.
unclescott58 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Mr. Guthmiller, thought this was going to a hardtop? Known as a Hollywood hardtop in Hudson terminology. I was under the impression this going to be a long roof 2-door club sedan, rather than a short roof 2-door club coupe. Though I do like the club coupe better than the club sedan. I knew it was not going to a Hollywood, but I wish it was. In '54 the Hollywood looked better with the minor redesign bodies, than the club coupe. In '53 it was the other way around. Scott

Scott you're part right...it's the coupe (stock)pictured above and the long roof club sedan(with parts for a drag racer)... no mention of any hardtop yet.. Edited August 22, 2014 by mike 51

Foxer Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Every customizer will want those tail lights alone! Edited August 22, 2014 by Foxer
Dave Metzner Posted August 22, 2014 Author Posted August 22, 2014 There is a Special Club sedan test shot waiting bare metal foil on my bench - may get around to that in thenext few days.. the Coupe is the first release - Sedan to follow. No Hollywood @ this time.

John Goschke Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Looks great! It's a testament to how far ahead of its time was the '48 Hudson that with a relatively mild restyle the same basic design could look so contemporary in 1954.
Guest Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Just beautiful! Now Möbius, how about a 49 Hudson?
bbowser Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Wow, another "must-have" for the pile. Great looking model.
sjordan2 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) For an average to experienced builder, I think it's great. But I don't think this is up to your usual standard, based on your always superb work in the past. Some rough-looking, rippled foil work, and a bit of orange peel on the black paint. I get the feeling this may have been rushed a bit. Edited August 23, 2014 by sjordan2
