thatz4u Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 meanwhile back at the Ranch(wagon) I think this would make a cool surfwagon or a Coronor's wagon or sedan delivery... It would also make a great Ranchero, if Revell doesn't....
khier Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 ..... if Revell doesn't.... This is hard to imagine after all the tooling investments and possibly licensing royalities.
om617 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Can you convert this to 4 door with not moving the b-pillar?
Geno Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Will make a good Courier for my delivery collection Here's mine. Completely disassembled, customized and rebuilt Johnny Lightning model.
southpier Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 does anyone know if the tent, pram, & sink are included in the woody version?
unclescott58 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 does anyone know if the tent, pram, & sink are included in the woody version? Now that would cool. Plus we can use a few more '59 Fords out there. Revell's Retractable is only a fair kit. I'd love to see a Fairlane 500 (not Galaxie) Club Victoria coupe, Sunliner convertible, and a Country Squire or Country Sedan wagons. Basically the Fords AMT offered back in 1959. Scott
horsepower Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 That looks like something from the mind of Rube Goldberg with all those pulleys and belts, I bet it could be a nightmare if the mechanism ever got out of sync.

Rob Hall Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Can you convert this to 4 door with not moving the b-pillar? No

Good looking pics for sure and despite all of the "problems", this'll be another excellent kit.
charlie8575 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I saw the built test-shot at NNL-East yesterday. I'd say it looks very good. It appears the fender crease issues have been pretty well addressed. Charlie Larkin

Sledsel Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) I'd say it does look better, still needs work, but a vast improvement. Bottom of the front fender needs some fill and the rear still needs a little. I see the bumper was lengthened too. Ohhhhhh.... do I still see a rear bumper guard sticking up? I'll get one.... or 4 Edited April 20, 2015 by Sledsel
Exotics_Builder Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=98804 I can't see any real difference here than the one I photographed in October
mike 51 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) It looks exactly the same to me...in another shot (from this weekend) it still has the too tall bumper guards too. Most likely it's the same model? Edited April 20, 2015 by mike 51
FordRodnKustom Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I'm gonna name mine "Dolores"... Now that's funny.
mrknowetall Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I can't see any real difference here than the one I photographed in October It is the same.
Sledsel Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 it is, but "some" work was done from what the sedan was. Depends on the photo/lighting and angle to catch the changes or flaws. Does look better though. still needs rear 1/4 work.
charlie8575 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Hmm...that rear crease is a bit short. All I know is if I tried to correct it, I'd make a complete mess of it. I'll have to live with it. Still, I won't be ashamed to have that on my shelf. Charlie Larkin
Art Anderson Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Can you convert this to 4 door with not moving the b-pillar? No, not really. On the 4dr sedans and wagons, the front door is 6" shorter front-to-B post than the doors on a 2dr sedan or wagon. Of course you would need to make a C-pillar too. It would not be a terribly difficult conversion though. Art
keyser Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Here we go again.......... Yep. People like Sledsel and others who've posted TONS of photos of 1:1 noting nothing has changed on test shot. I said pages ago let's see what changes, but this looks like same car from before. Each person pointed out they're buying multiples anyway. But thanks for your dismissal like all the other refuseniks. Guess we'll have to wait for final tool. I'm buying a few. How many for you?
