Soon as I saw this I had to get one - a 1:48 New York brownstone!

Looks like a really cool kit - beautifully molded and detailed and it has a bunch of different ways to build it.  A couple of fascias - the one on the front with the staircase and entry door, and one with a roller door so you could easily make a commercial building.

The walls can be inverted with different designs on each side so you can change window layouts and have more or less brickwork, and there’s various options of things to put on the roof - traditional NY skylight and door, the water tower or an advertising billboard.  Plus, a bunch of cool little accessories - air conditioners, fire hydrants, a bar sign, a hanging sign…and even pigeons!

Gonna enjoy building this one - and it’s not dissimilar to a couple of different buildings my wife and I have lived in, in the city!

Definitely gonna pick up a couple more of these!

Who makes these and where are they available ?

The apartment kit?  It's made by Atomic Mass Games, apparently - but I just searched online for "Marvel NYC Apartment kit".  They're around the $70 mark, delivered

Picked up the MPM Models 1/72 scale DC-2 in Eastern and Pan Am markings today from Hobby Town USA in Deerfield; it was on their shelf for so many years that the ones on eBay are nearly double the price now.

Always liked the lines of this plane, the smaller forerunner to the DC-3.

2 of the 1/25 AMT Yamaha dirt bike packs. With one, I hope to replicate my dad's '74, DT 175 that I grew up to thoroughly thrash. Probably learned most on this bike.

Those were the days! Funny how heavy it looks compared to todays bikes.

I later graduated to this bike. It was the first big ticket item I ever bought. First thing that required a payment book. !t was a brand-new leftover from the previous year. Something like $1,400. Googled photo. I can't believe I never took any pics of my favorite bike. I literally was able to pick this bike up and walk around with it. ?

Nice bike Mike. My brothers buddy had a 400IT same blue color. I was a wuss and never jumped in the saddle.  I stayed on the Honda 250 that was well worn. I would have hurt myself on that 400 beast.

Picked up one of these last week. Waited almost a year for my local shop to get it in. They're from the Ukraine so it's understandable.

Roden makes some very nice kits. I have a couple.

Love the cover art on this one.

I would have sprung for the big bore IT but the 175 was within my price range. I was just out of high school. It was still drum brakes and air cooled for me.

I got this tiny 1/72 Gee Bee kit .

Small enough so the whole model could get lost in the carpet.

Make a pretty cool Christmas tree ornament though.   :D

Yah, I believe that one goes back to the '50s and is what they call "box scale"--it was designed so all the sprues fit in a certain size standard box.  (I see now it's 1/77--about right for "box scale.")

Just have FUN with it.

Last time I was up Ace Hardware way, I stopped in an "antique mall" flea market thingy. One stall had a bunch of mid-line HO scale RR freight cars in boxes for $3 to $5, so I let ten of 'em follow me home. Sorry, no pix...and I don't even remember what they are, other than that several had already been upgraded with Kadee couplers.
