NOBLNG replied to WillyBilly's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Now that is FUNNY! 🤣🤣🤣 On that note, I went searching for the definition and I personally agree with this assessment.😜 https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28225/sports-car-definition/ -

Well, if this isn't the most screaming 3D or resin opportunity in the bidness, I don't know what is. AMC was not looking for extra work or investement at the time, so I'd wager most of whatever needs changing would happen at a convenient panel line. As for, "What in blue hell were they thinking...?" AMC was probably looking at other entries in the market (Bronco, Scout, rumored Blazer) thinking they needed an easy way to keep interest in the product going. Since that modern look was working for the others... why not for them? Strikes me much akin to Studebaker adding the notch style Thunderbird roof and Benzo grille to the Hawk/Starliner to make the GT. -
Since I wasn't using the scheme from the Toyota 2000GT on the Supra, I thought I'd try to adapt it to a Scion FRS, however I only had a Subaru BRZ kit. No problem, I'll just rebadge it, (yes, I know the BRZ has some differences from the FRS and 86). Like the Supra, I drew all the graphics and printed a decal sheet.

I'm so close to the end now I really don't want to post anymore wips, so the next photos you see will be in the showroom or whatever they call it here. I never can remember.

Although their numbers have been dropping in recent years, you can still find Dodge Challengers racing, and winning, in the NASCAR Pinty's Series here in Canada, where the Dodges still tend to make up about 1/3 of the field: Riverside-Riverside-300.pdf

I considered using one for the chassis with a 3D body of a '61 190 sedan, but no engine or any worthy detail. -
Mine is going to be Golden Olive with a Dark Saddle interior. I have a 73 Grand Am 4 door that is Florentine Red. Great color choice!
