  2. Nice tribute, well done Mark.
  3. Nice colour on your R32 there Kaci, it really suits the black wheels. Your collection looks great, you might need a trip to your local IKEA store. 😄👍
  4. A shame Ed no longer has the "correct" seats available...
  5. Thanks guys! I would rather hear "In the air tonight" though, Bob (Lol).
  6. Today
  7. LGB is a German company, and stands for Lehmann Gross Bahn (Lehmann Big Trains).

    Zz Top Eliminator

Hi guys ISO decals, grille, tail lamps, windscreen frame and glass and head lamp lenses thanks
  9. Hey Paul hoping to see this build completed. I plan to use this build thread as a how to and inspiration for my own 66 Malibu build which I will be starting next after my current Skyline build.
  10. Any updates to this build ?? I can understand if it stalled, as I know what its like having so many irons in the fire 😄
  11. Pretty much finished the engine bay work, final details were a scratch built brake booster/master cylinder and drilling a locating hole for the ignition coil. Finalized the shape of the radiator support panel, attached some tabs for a radiator I found in my spare parts stash and attached some tubing for hose fitment. Currently doing prep work on the body, scribing done. Opening up the cowl vents by removing material from behind.
  12. Pyro. I liked their old classic ships kits too! Some quite unique to Pyro.
  13. AH Doug, due to the high price of kits here in the UK, I only buy to build them, I think I only have under ten on the shelves in my garden cabin.
  14. Thanks for the further feedback Mark and Jim. That explains the 1/22nd scale being chosen by Artesania Latina. It's just that I thought it strange not to have been 1/24th being more compatible with many car and truck kits. Occre, a Spanish company making wooden tram kits do theirs in 1/24th scale that also made me wonder why AL chose 1/22nd. Not being a rail modeller please excuse my ignorance, but what does LGB mean? I am well on with the model, but being mainly sold and metal has taken me out of my comfort zone and learning a number of new building and finishing techniques along the way.
  15. Just a tip, the front glass is the same for all Revell and Monogram 1965 and 1966 Mustang Fastbacks and Shelbys, they are all from the same basic tooling.
  16. There is actually an ounce of truth deep down in history that justifies a reasonable stash, I remember the 1990's when I could only buy AMT 49 Ford, Mercurys and GMC step side at the local hobby shop, the rest were obscure Revell and Monogram. Today with Round2, Moebius and new kits from Revell the situation is different but the trauma is there deep down.
  17. The Budweiser King and ARMY dragsters was the last Top Fuel dragsters from Revell and they came 2002.
  18. You and me both! Also the dual carb fuel blocks…
  19. The Drag City Casting "flipnose" body you got is based on- and intended for use with Revell’s “New” line of Willys kits, which was originally introduced around 2000. There’s a Pro Street and several different Gasser versions - All with blown 1st. Gen Hemi engines. The Pro Street version has a short tailshaft Chrysler 727 automatic transmission whereas the gasser has a B&M “Hydro Stick” (GM) transmission. The Pro Street has a nicely detailed “tubbed” chassis and modern interior. Some people prefer to modify the suspension in order to drop the car lower to the ground, though. The gassers are all identical parts-wise - Except for the “Big John Mazmanian”-version, which inaccurately has all of the windows and headlights molded in dark red translucent plastic (tinted windshields weren’t allowed per the class rules). Neither of the gassers are truly accurate representations of the actual cars the depict, and all are incorrect in the sense that they only include a single seat (passenger seat was required as well). Don’t let any of these minor flaws keep you from basing your build on either of the new Revell kits, though: Their accuracy and parts fit is miles ahead of both the old AMT kit and Revell’s own old Stone Woods & Cook “Swindler B” Willys kit from the sixties. The new Revell Willys kits also lend themselves very well to kitbashing, and I've even thought of building an improved version of the old Revell SWC Willys based on the body and frame from the new gasser kit and the engine/transmission from Revell's 1950 Oldsmobile Custom.
  20. Well Mark, the wife asked me why I drive it so much? I told her I did not buy it to look at it. So far so good, no dings from the store. The Grinch is a 1954 Ford Skyliner. On really hot days it gets pretty warm inside with that glass roof though!! Those are the days all 4 windows are down and the vents are all open!!
  21. Thank you Trans Am Mike. It’s black cherry. From diamont . Solvent base coat with a urethane clear
  22. Looks good! The hood decal is a nice touch.
  23. Very sharp!
