Those cars had one of the best "whale tails" ever!

Top Fuel Race cars run 3.5 seconds in a 1000 foot run. Top speed is in the 350 mph range. They don't run the 1/4 mile any more do to the high speeds.

Pure heaven for a Mopar lover. I grew up in Detroit (1940's to late 1960's) 3 blocks from the Plymouth plant, 6 blocks from the Packard plant and about 1/2 mile from Dodge main. Most of my neighbors and friends worked at these plants. My Dad worked for a parts supplier to Chrysler. I worked at the Chrysler Tech Center for 42 years.................Chrysler is all I have ever owned and known. There was a Fruehauf trailer plant about a mile away. Seeing Mopar car haulers was an every day event.

Kevin Harvick is the man! Took over when Dale Sr was killed at Daytona in 2001 in the #29 car for Childress. In his 3rd race he won at Atlanta and later at Chicago. Won Rookie of the Year in 2001.

I grew up in Detroit from the 1940's to the late 1960's about a mile from the Fruehauf trailer plant. Lot of cool stuff use to come out of there. Great build.

Very cool build. Growing up in Detroit in the 50's and 60's where K-Mart started I have a great appreciation of K-Mart sponsored cars. Racing Reference says the K-Mart car ran at Charlotte.
