    68 vette

Nice, clean build - I'm not surprised your son likes it!
  5. Now finished - see 'Under Glass'
  6. I've been gathering the parts for this for several years, having been inspired by Roy Brizio's green roadster. Body, chopped windshield and seat are from the Revell Rat Rod. The door hinges were removed and gaps filled. Half-round rod was added to the upper body and plastic sheet was used to create the interior panels. Detail Master provided the door handles, instrument panel and gauges. The chassis is from the Revell '30 Model A with modified engine mounts, front and rear crossmembers to accept the Tamiya Jaguar engine, lowered '32 Ford front axle and '26 Buttera T rear end. The latter was rebuilt with aluminium tube to widen it slightly. Wheels and tyres are a mix of Pegasus and parts box items. The Weber carbs came from Scale Production in Germany and are cast metal with separate intake trumpets. Exhaust pipes are aluminium tube, and the moon tank consists of Stacey David Rat Roaster ends with a tank fabricated by a talented friend Joel from aluminium rod. Paint is my usual Tamiya spraycan, US Navy Blue and German Grey, left in a satin finish.
  7. Fabulous builds Peter, and I love the variety.
  8. Bummer, they don't ship to New Zealand
  9. Both cars look great, Bill. Once you start, it's difficult to stop - I've built six versions of the Thunderbolt (so far).
  10. Great build!
  11. 1955 Mercedes as driven by Stirling Moss to victory at the Mille Miglia. Revell of Germany issue, some fitment problems, mainly under the bonnet trying to squeeze in that straight 8!
  12. Nice build - very realistic paint finishes.
  13. Built curbside from the AMT with Moebius Hudson wheels & tyres and straight rod for axles. Paint is Tamiya Anodised Sky Blue Aluminium and Racing Blue on the roof, covered in their Lame` Flake for a bit of sparkle.
  14. What a great start to the year, nice builds all!
  15. Oooh - might have to get me one of those!
  16. Cool as!
  17. A build to which the word 'awesome' is genuinely appropriate.
  18. Great news, Cato.
  19. Looking great, Jason. That interior is to die for!
  20. I recently pulled my unstarted kit out of the stash, too. Now that Revell have released the latest version, I thought I had better build the old one! Great to see yours back on the bench, hopefully it will inspire me to work on mine!
  21. Beautiful work, Erik - very lifelike!
