  1. Holy Shnikeys!! That's gorgeous. Love the color immensely. A week and a half for a build like this? No wonder you have so many built up models. Do you ever sleep?
  2. I think you're very close to getting pix posted. I know thet when I sometimes have just recently posted a pic to PhotoBucket, I have to click twice for the word "copied" to show up briefly in the IMG Code area. Make sure that when you click in this area, the work "copied" shows up. Once it does, you should be able to paste it in the body of your thread message post.
  3. This another fascinating build by the master builder John. I have been thinking of building one of these as I had a '72 Skylark with the same body style many moons ago and this build has cemented that idea home. Beautiful work John. Love all of the details. On closer inspection of your photos, it looks like one of your rear tires is mounted reversed as one has a ring on the sidewall and the other doesn't. Hope they're not glued up yet.
  4. Man oh man is this a great visual story and such precision in scale building. Just found this thread and couldn't agree more on using modules. Future generations of modelers will be thankful. Great techniques and I can see myself doing dioramas as a hobby.
  5. You're off to a good start. I'm liking where this is headed. Are you planning on using the engine that came in the kit. BTW - which kit is this? Seems these 1/16th scale FED are tough to find here in the states too.
  6. This is really looking good. The cockpit area sure does look like a tight fit though. Sorokin was small of stature so must have been able to fit in such a tight space.
  7. Magnificent concept and all the way to through to completion. Love the differnet eras represented so well. You all should be proud. My hat's off to you all.
  8. Nicely done. I always like doing dioramas and have another one planned. Thx Ed for the instruction on making draped tarps. I've often wondered how that was done.
  9. What a great tribute honoring those who lost so much. Thanks for sharing and reminding us.
  10. Try Plastruct. They have quite an extensive array of trees. Here's a link but they have other palms trees as well so browse through their catalog for what you're looking for. I'm sure they'll have it. www.plastruct.com/pages/OnlineProductDetail.lasso?-op='eq'&CCode=PALM-7
  11. This is a great idea and will really showcase your builds for a photshoot. Thx for posting.
  12. Another interesting vehicle that sort of follows along with this art deco styling although not quite in the amount as the ones shwn above, is the Futurliner. Quite a story. I may have to build one someday in the future.
  13. Oh, I plan on only using a single wheelie wheel, just trying to work out how I mount it to the axle/chassis. Thx Chris.
  14. I think the acetone spill was meant to be as this looks perfect in red. Stunning work throughout. Thx for posting.
  15. What an interesting subject matter. Your scratchbuildiing skills are showing. This is an inspiration to others to step out of the norm for model building. I would love to see more pictures and hear details on the bike because its a model all in itself. How many does it sleep?
  16. Spectacular and I normally don't like the wagons but this one is making me change my mind.
  17. Absolutely top notch. Loving all of the little details that make this build spectacular.
  18. WOW! Virg you really have this weathering thing down to a science. Very nice. The materials on the rack look like they could use some weathering too. Where did you scource the scale tailgate chain as it is perfect?
  19. Stunning build. Paint, engine wheels, stance and details all are perfect.
  20. Thanks Damir and Dan. I'll see if I can dig up some more around here.
  21. My mom never could understand why I had to put big tires under the rear fenders. Here's one without the big rear tires that she would have liked. Although not a car, it still has tires.
  22. While I'm not in the same class as Jarius, I do have a few pix I can share.
