I acquired a 68 roadrunner model and would like to know if anyone knows of a place I can buy a 68 gtx grille for my rr it is 1/25 if anyone knows anything or has some information it would be greatly appreciated

The first model car I ever tried to make when I began building as an adult was the Revell 1971 Cuda kit. I made it in Plum Crazy Purple, not really knowing what I was doing yet. It came out alright, but I always felt like I could have done better. I got this kit as a Christmas present and set out to make a good looking build. I think it looks great in Sublime. Hi everyone I've been building and scrapping this build for going on 3 years. This is my first model build I've ever done. I would love to get ideas, help, or any other feedback to help me move this baby along. I have a bunch of ideas I want to incorporate into it from some of my favorite builds. So far I'm going to be making a efi itb dodge NASCAR engine. I made the wide 5 wheels from some wheels off of eBay. I think I definitely need some kind of flares to widen the stance (I think it looks too narrow under the stock fenders). I'll post some quick mock up pics below. Thanks for looking and look forward to see what you all think.

This is the new Revell AAR kit. I bought it with a gift card I got as a bonus from work. I had gotten the old kit when it first cam out, but I bought the wrong paint and did not like the results. This kit is not a bad kit, but it just doesn't look right to me. I like the original kit better. One of the first car models I ever built was the 1967 GTX. Uncharacteristically of me, I built it as the custom street version. Ever since I have wanted to get another one to build stock. I finally got my chance, as this model was on sale at Hobby Lobby. It's a little different than the one I previously got. I was sad that there were only black stripes, so I had no white stripes to go on my black car. It was also strange it had some of the custom parts, but not the decals or all the modification parts. I made the mistake of using the custom headers as I did not know that the stock were also in the kit, and thought the custom parts were the stock parts. The kit also put together a bit differently than I remember of the old kit. The hood fit isn't that great, but I guess it cam out looking alright. It's a pretty good kit. Here is my second build of the year a 1974 Road Runner. The wing is from the 71 Cuda kit. Had a slight problem with one of the stripes being broken when I got the kit, but the painted stripe is barely noticable. I am getting ready to start a 1958 Plymouth kit (The Christine one) and realized this interior is a little more accurate for Plymouth Belvederes of that year. Any idea how one could replicate the interior in the first picture? How would one make the white seat background? How could one recreate the black textured part of the seat? Both are slightly different. Thanks -

Hi folks, I did another restoration... This is the 1/24 scale Monogram kit. Bought it some time ago from a modelling mate and it looked like this: The hardest part was getting rid of the white stripe decals that had practically "eaten" into the plastic, even after stripping the paint. I may show some WIP photos of that later on. The paint I used is Testors Plum Crazy to replicate the In Violet Plymouth purple. The first time in decades that I used enamel on a car body and I was quite annoyed by the 72 hours plus dry time so for the next step I used a food dehydrator which helped to save a lot of time and patience. I also did my very first tyre lettering on this kit. By the way, no clear coat on this one, just elbow grease...

Started way back in 2002, it is painted with some Testors' enamel green metallic that I don't remember the name of, but like the color. I was never happy with the black stripes but you know, it's either get rid of it or complete it, so I'm going to complete it. 440 six pack from the kit. I had to trim the inside of the air cleaner to fit and also trim off some of the transmission where it fits in the crossmember to get it all to fit properly. I've waited so long to get this built, the windshield frame has bowed. I am hoping I can straighten this out when I put the front glass in. Thanks for looking, comments welcomed.

Started it months ago, but never got the chance to post it. Came out OK, but spilt some black paint on the grill, so i just went ahead and made the grill all black after one I saw online. Hey everyone!, this is an exact replica of my REAL Duster just after I finished doing the bodywork on it. Its very special to me because it was my birth year, AND the first model year of it. Since there wasn't an actual 1970 kit, I had to SB a few changes.....the front grille, taillights, and dash, are some of the things. Its totally detailed, and ALL the wiring is laying exactly as it was. The taillights are too reflective for back then, but I will have that corrected when I build it after it came out of the paint shop.

Today I got the 1967ish Plymouth satellite for $50. I have now fulfilled a dream of mine to own a 60s mopar muscle car and I am crazy happy!!!!!!! I will be posting some pics of the car on a local drag race Facebook group in on to see if anyone can identify the car so I can get some more info on it and try and learn some history on it. Unfortunately the hood was used as a trailer for behind a quad/snowmobile. Mid you have any question I will do my best to try and answer them. the car will be called the Satellite that fell out of orbit.

As far as I know it is a Plymouth satellite but would like to know if it is a factory paint job and if so how rare it is. -
You know the release a few years back in the tin box with the 4" Road Runner? I just bought a couple of them off of Hobbylinc. My thoughts : What a REALLY NICE kit! Thoughtful, cool packaging, the decals are correct and... perfect, all the right parts. They did such a great job with this. You can tell, there was a lot of thought and care that went into it. Now, if only they'd do this nice a job reissuing that 71/72 Road Runner kit!!! BTW, it took my son 30 seconds to break the 4" Road Runner!

While I tend to focus mostly on Fords, sometimes I like something a little different. Saw this AMT 1941 Plymouth Four Passenger Coupe on clearance at Hobby Lobby, and decided to take a chance. So here are the first few shots, starting with the engine build. While I'm going with the stock engine, I am making a few mods to it, like spacing the intake and exhaust off of the block slightly and adding the two missing exhaust bits on the manifold. Other scratch parts include the the bracket for the oil sump air filter, the top mounted horn, relocating the generator bracket to the top of the generator, and the distributor. The bits on the "ground" are the upper and lower radiator hoses and the "glass" fuel filter. The bit in the tweezers is a scratch up of the steering box and column to tie into the kit column at the firewall. Still need to wire it and plumb it, decide on the finish for the oil pan, and scratch up one more little detail forward of the thermostat housing and bolt heads for the fan. Still, not a bad couple of hours so far. The hoses are some rubber coated twist-tie wire that was holding something in some packaging. and the fuel filter is two tiny pieces of clear sprue. All of the other scratched bits are styrene sheet, rod and tube. Thanks for looking, and as always, comments are welcome. T.

Take one Moebius 65 Plymouth Belvedere kit, swap a few parts from the Moebius Satellite and Johan Police Car kits, add a few aftermarket parts along with a few minor modifications and you can make this ... I've been working on this 1980 Plymouth Volare, from the MPC Fuzz Duster kit, for more than a month now. I though I would be just throwing it together with some cool wheels and some paint. Since I started I have decided to do new things or things I have not been 100% successful at in the past. I flip flopped for 2 weeks before I bought it, and the original intent was to make a junker. On the way out of Hobby Lobby I saw a Maisto 2013 Viper and thought the wheels would look REALLY cool on the Volare. So, with 40% off coupon in hand (or on phone) I purchased both and started this journey. I purchased the donor Viper and the Volare the following day. In between I had a slow day at work and looked up all kinds of Google images of the kit and Pro Touring Plymouth Volares. If you're part of the Facebook or youtube model car scene you MAY have seen this thing before. So, the day I purchase the kit from Hobby Lobby I sat down and tuned into Youtube and one of my favorite builders (MrMinidreams) had picked it up and had the same idea. I'd like to see what he does with his. It all started with pulling the Viper apart, and trying the wheels underneath this beast. The wheels started turning in my head and I thought of a Hellcat Volare...what would that be like. I contacted Mrminidreams and he put me on to ClearlyScale and I purchased a 6.4 liter 392 cubic inch supercharged Hemi with 6 speed gearbox. I had to notch the frame a bit to get it to sit down in the Volare, but that what you do when you want to get it in there. Once I got the headers painted I noticed they would hook up really nicely to aluminum tubing for a more realistic exhaust system. Why not? I am trying new stuff. Take a look at the pics.
