aurfalien Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Hi, This was a sneak in between builds build (1/25 MPC CanAm) which was missing tires, wheels and headlights. So I improvised. It's a great kit, full of serious potential into making a mega full detail if one desires. Like what Phildaupho is doing with his Lola T70 which is spectacular. Imagine that level on this kit; WOW!. I did notice that my Tamiya Lacquer Flat Clear gummed up and buggerfied the tires so I had a hell of a time fixing that. So I switched to Tamiya Flat Clear acylic. Anyways, a GREAT kit and GREAT fun.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Very nice, clean, and one we hardly ever see built up. This makes me want to dig the one out that I bought just for the engine, and build it just as it is.
TooOld Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Very very nicely done ! Great to see one of these built up , and done right !
Phildaupho Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Very cool and unusual. I really like seeing the rivet detail.
Daddyfink Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 That is pretty cool! I keep forgetting I have that kit, but, not anymore!
Mike C Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 That's cool. I didn't know anyone made a kit of that car. I saw a video about it on YouTube on the Petrolicious channel.
dave branson Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Cool build of a car nobody ever builds. Those that interested MPC also made the coupe version
vintagercr Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Great looking model. You don't see them very often.
DumpyDan Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 That is a beautiful car, unusual but really cool. Great job
bbowser Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 First one I've ever seen. Really well done.
aurfalien Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 Wow!Extremely flattering replies!Thank you very much, especially seeing that I am still new and struggling in this game called scale model building.
D. Battista Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Pretty cool build...Nice job ...I like the paint scheme...!

Dann Tier Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Extremely cool looking build!!!!! -great job on the white paint as well!! -love the headlamps!!
Dave Van Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Thanks Mike!!!R2.....find the coupe tooling.....Plez!
Phirewriter Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) I agree!!!! I have a few of the reissued versions plus both originals unfortunately poorly built, but in mint boxes. I still see the roadster version cheap so I don't know if sales would merit retooling/backdating the the kit but we can hope. That being said I really like this build, I think the different wheels give it a cool vibe. Looks more international I guess is the best way I can describe it while the mag's that came in the kit certainly gave it the more American bred/built look. Cool!! aurfalien Posted November 17, 2016 Author Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) I just learned something front his post. It's to dust off the model before taking some pics. The rear has a ton of dust spots on it as do the tires, bummer. Edited November 17, 2016 by aurfalien
gtx6970 Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Has a Speed Racer vibe to it. Racer X was the 1st thing i thought when i opened the post. Kind of neat looking little car
Crazy Ed Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Another Good'n Brian. I do like the Cockpit detail and the allllll the rivets.
