grant_3250 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Revell ‘Henry J’ 1984 kit. Painted in Tamiya Mica Red and Tamiya clear. Decals from AMT ‘Lil Viky’ Kit. I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out considering the kits poor reviews and difficulty. Constructive criticism welcomed. 1
Chris in Berwyn Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Looks good! I sorta feel like building those is a modeling rite of passage as it is such a classic kit. I should build one. Great color!
Sledsel Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Finicky old kit, but you did a great job on it. I have one in my stash, and Chris is right, it is a rite of passage to successfully build one.
Metaldrumm Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Yea, i have also heard some negative issues with this kit ,but looks like you nailed it ,good work and nice color. Edited January 15, 2018 by Metaldrumm
Snake45 Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Probably one of the better builds I've seen of this wretched kit. Well done and model on!
cobraman Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 You did a great job on what I consider to be a tough kit .
TarheelRick Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Really like the looks of this one, Gassers rule. I also have one in the stash and have been avoiding it because of the issues I have heard. One quick question: how do you slow this beast down? I see a "Go" pedal but no "Whoa" pedal.

carsntrucks4you Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Great job that you did from model that's horrible. I like it Here a link to my Henry J Gasser
vintagercr Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Very nice. I had a '52 so I have a soft spot. Lives in Buffalo now.
unclescott58 Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Another good looking “J”. So there hope with the newest reissue that it can be built into a decent looking model.
Zippi Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Yeah Grant did a great job on this build. Looks nice. I have the new release on hold at my local hobby shop with they come in. I'm in no big hurry to get one but when it comes in I'll have one waiting.
David G. Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 That's one great looking Gasser, Nicely Done! David G.
