zaina Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Scratch built front suspension. Here is how it sits.
BIGTRUCK Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Whats not to like, its a gasser. Great start ,looks the part.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) Nice work on the axle, springs, and shackles... Edited January 6, 2020 by Ace-Garageguy
zaina Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Thanks guys. Started workin on the headers and blower set up tonight.
espo Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Very impressive looking suspension work. Your headers look great. I notice some blue colored medium you're using for temporary attachment of parts. I'd like to know what you're using with the idea I could try that also.

It is a must for mockups
zaina Posted January 11, 2020 Author Posted January 11, 2020 Small update. Got the tie rod done and added U-bolts to the axle. Just need to figure out the drag link and pitman arm as well as build shocks and the front end will be done. Also realized I will need to cut a hole in the hood so may go with this scoop.
James2 Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Nice concept, excellent scratching and a perfect stance, what's not to like!

Hobby Lobby sells this white version of that medium, "Simply Tacky." Once you've used it, you can't live without it. Along with temporarily attaching parts, it's great for holding small parts during painting. Elmer's Poster Tack comes in blue or red and Michael's has it. Edited January 11, 2020 by Mike999 omit

zaina Posted January 19, 2020 Author Posted January 19, 2020 Shocks, drag link and pitman arm done. Everything moves when the wheels turn. Now back to the engine.
Bills72sj Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Very interesting build. I am enjoying the results of your fab skills.

Ben269 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Thats insane! Awesome job on that front suspension!
89AKurt Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Had to check out what you're up too, could always learn something, and this is a great lesson!
zaina Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 Thanks guys. Got some pulleys machines last night. Might have to change things a little because of belt clearance issues. Will see after I get the blower pulleys done. Also found a nicer blower in my stash.
TarheelRick Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Really like the direction you are going with this one. A blown I-6 is not really common, but that is why I like it.
