Funkychiken Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 This build was not the usual Tamiya perfection, but it was enjoyable, and turns out into a fantasic completed build. the main 2 problems I had were fitting the engine cover - was a little twisted. and also the final fitting of the body onto the chassis, it sits too low at the back, and there were some lugs that clashed with the body. Overall, really pleased! colour is Alclad II Cobalt Blue over Bright silve base and finished with Zero 2K and sanded/polished. Interior is with Zero paints... Comments welcome! 2
iamsuperdan Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 That turned out nice. Your paint work is excellent!
89AKurt Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Love the color. Yea, that final fitting at the back is the achilles heel of this kit.
Belugawrx Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Very nice build Atin ! That blue is beautiful..really well done. Cheers
Slimguy Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Wow, this turned out really nice. Great color combination. Thanks for posting the final pictures.

beeRS Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 A beautiful example! I especially like the paint job. That blue really suits the 959 shape.
Pete75 Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Excellent work, sir. Enjoyed going through your WIP thread so much I had to make an impulse purchase - at £14 it would be crazy not to! And I have the colour scheme all mapped out - I love it when a plan comes together...?
TransAmMike Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 Very cool, the car and the color. Gotta get one......the model that is LOL!!

Logezzzzzbro Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Any tips on getting the body onto the chassis? At this stage of my build and it’s so frustrating I want to throw my model against the wall.
