Pretty solid model you have there. I did not mean to leave anyone out with the other threads. They were pretty much like a "pilot" threads. My ideas was to create separate threads concentrated on particular body style Deuce and eventually have threads for every Deuce. The reason for it was to have threads for inspiration when building a Deuce. So if you want to build a Vicky, you could check out all other people's Vickies. And same with everything else.

If you are willing of course, you can switch the name of this thread to "'32 Coupes- 3/5Windows" and I'll take care of the other ones. I just didn't have the time and energy earlier.

And by the way, did I mention that your model definitely does justice to one of Revell's greatest model kits ever?

Thanks.  No worries,  I just thought I'd do one for the other 32 body styles lol.

Yeah. I just made one for the Long Roofs. I'm making one for the roadsters and that would pretty much cover it.

I've got a bunch of these!

I'll start with the oldest. I should take some better pictures of this one since I still have it, but it's about a 15 year old build at this point.

I actually did this one for a Goodguys Gazette article a while back. Purposefully built with different wheels side to side.

This one was a lot of fun to do. Another I need to take better pictures of. So much going on it'd be hard to get too specific.

This one I built as a clone of a car Pinkee's rod shop built.

This last one has a fun story. I used to work for a company that sold hot rod parts. We were vending at the NSRA Nationals in Oklahoma City ( could have been Springfield, MO too) and I found out they were having a model car contest. We were there early for setup, so I was able to go to Hobby Lobby that Wednesday or Thursday night and grab something to build. I got back to the hotel room with an AMT 5-window, a Beatnik Bandit, and some paints/blue and got to work. Entered it in the show on Friday and took home a couple awards with it.

Great Coupes and a cool story Eric. My favorite has to be the one with the different wheels. The simple red on white for a 3 window Deuce is like the red on beige for Ferraris.

Here is my first contribution to this thread. It was build (or rather just finally finished) as part of that "great idea" about a Deuce in every class at a contest. This was supposed to be my Box Stock Plus model, which is basically a box stock model with parts from three different Revell editions of the '32.

The model is build as a quick fun project (which end up taking about 10 years to be finally 100% finished). Everything is pretty much box stock 3 window with the motor from the 5 window, wheels and tires from the roadster and the steering wheel from the AMT Phantom Vicky.

I wasn't sure what license plate to go with, when I ran across the decal sheet from some Ferrari model and thought that it would be pretty cool to put this plate on an unfinished rod.

Here's some of mine. The Monogram sport coupe was purchased built. I had to rebuild a hairpin radius rod, otherwise as built who knows how long ago?

32 - 5 - 3.

Wait, what? Long story short, the model kit for the "Group 93" category at the 1993 GSL contest was the AMT '32 Ford, where we all could build it any way we wanted, except with nothing that was available aftermarket-wise for kit building after 1963. Since I had Morgan 3-wheelers on my mind for the previous year contest when I built the "Group 92" Mercury Cougar as a 3-wheeled joke, I just kept the same idea for this one. Basically a 1963-era buildup street rod with just what came in that kit and its reissues, minus one rear wheel and adding panels to fill in the sides, along with paper handmade dice hanging from the rear view mirror, and a hand painted paper motorcycle license on the spare. I donated it to the Model Car Museum in the late '90s where it now sits on their glass shelves.

That 3 wheeler is awesome, I love it!

Thanks! Among all the others in my GSL running gag of entering yellow 3-wheelers in the "Group" category (borrowing "LordModelBuilder's photo of those others), the '32 is still my favorite since it looked like the one that could most likely be a 1:1 custom car.

WOW! Some really nice Deuces being displayed here! I build pretty nice models, that I'm proud of, but there are some talented SOBs out there. Kudos you guys.

Revell '32 3-Window channeled over their 5-Window chassis and Hemi engine. Valve covers from Revell '41 Willys and log manifold with 6 Tweedy Pie carburetors. Beatnik Bandit front tires with Monogram Lil Coffin rear mags & slicks. Pleated interior with '40 dash made from Revell's '32 Sedan and 5-Window. Also modified and grafted in the 5-Window louvered deck lid.  Duplicolor dark gray primer and Testors 1-coat Fiery Orange.

Revell '32 5-Window with resin chopped top body from Drag City Casting. I did the master body and it's chopped a scale 4.5". Revell '57 Gasser Y-Block engine. Revell '64 Thunderbolt Radir wheels with the rears made deeper. Rear fenders bobbed 6 scale inches. Testors 1-coat Bronze One. This color is a pain to photograph so I included one out in the sun.

Yes, it could pass for a real 1-1, like the Morgan 3 wheeler as you mentioned is what it reminds me of. I see many of them at local car shows. For a group entering yellow 3 wheeler's I'm surprised to not see a Reliant Regal van in the link there, interesting builds none the less. Maybe that one is not so well known in the states though.

Here's a couple rescues.  The sedan is pretty much as found, just a little clean up, re-attached the rear wheels, and headers

The 5 window was missing valve covers, intake, and headers, replaced those and a bit of clean-up

May add some headlights at some point..

Some awesome builds here. Just shows how important the '32 was to the  hot rod world.

Had some reprints of old hot rod mags and everything on this build was advertised in them. Fun build
