  1. Looks very nice Pat. One would never miss that car on a track.

    Looks very nice!
  3. One of my wife's uncles was informed he has a aggressive form of cancer and does not have much time left. His kids are already fighting over the inheritance, and there is a will. I should be surprised, but for some reason I am not. However, it does sadden me greatly.
  4. Race car drivers have a different mind set about them. I don't know if it an issue with their egos, or they get such a rush from racing that they cannot walk away. I remember Dale Earnhardt being quoted as saying something to the effect that if he died driving a race car that would not be a tragedy. If he died driving a passenger car, that would be a tragedy. Then there's Neil Bonnett. He had a very serious accident at Darlington and was forced to retire. He did not like retirement and badgered his doctors to release him to race. His next race was at Talledega; his car became airborne and he crashed into the catch fence. Some suggest that he suffered a concussion in that accident, but it was never really confirmed. His next race attempt was at Daytona. He died during a practice when a shock mount broke on his car and he had a head on crash into the wall.
  5. I agree with Tim, you should test it first. I do this even when the paint and the clear are from the same company. A few years ago, I painted a car using Rustoleum 2X paint and a Rustoleum 2X clear. The clear turned the paint to resemble alligator skin.
  6. Very nice! The decals look like they would have been a challenge.

Very, very nice! If you had not pointed out the difficulties, I wouldn't have noticed.
  11. I hope everything works out for you Johnny.
  12. I missed this one the first time around, but the model is really outstanding! Great work Mark.
  13. Extremely well done! The weathering is fantastic.
  14. The reason for the seasonal blends of gasoline can be placed at the feet of the good old federal government (EPA) and their pollution requirements. The oil companies would not do this unless they had to. Beyond this, the oil markets are rigged. When I used to read articles about the price of oil, one day supplies are plentiful and prices are trending down. Then a few days later supplies are restricted and prices are now trending up. No one seems to know, but they have no problems making things up. Or worse, they know what is occurring but will not tell the truth. Then of course there will always be a crown prince from an oil producing country who will wake up with a spastic colon and oil prices will shoot up 30%.
  15. Great job! The weathering is outstanding.
