But I just thought of something that would gum up the works, licensing and the fees that go with them. We can always hope that some of these drivers, or their estates would be sympathetic to the model building fans and not gouge Round 2 for license fees. Some independent decal makers got away with it because they do not mass produce and usually keep it on the down low. Then there are the big name decal makers who got and get the permission to do them and pay the fees. So sadly we would just be getting more generic, lame, decals for the drag kits.

Looks like you re-purposed a Tony Nancy Double Dragster chassis to make yours. That is a clever idea.

Yes, this has to be one of my all time favorite kits. I currently have a couple of them and I need to get to building one sometime soon.

i have yet to see the Prudhomme car at my LHS, hopefully it will show up with the McEwen car. And I hate to nit pic, but, the Garlits car was the first "Successful" Rear Engine Car, not the first Rear Engine Car. -
Auto World 1961 License Plates

I actually have two of those plate sheets. Got them by accident in a box of junk parts. Dug everything out and they where at the bottom of the box! Some fell off, but you can make a complete sheet from the two! -
Fred Cady did some Tin Indian decals for the 66 GTO and the 67 Firebird, unable to recal if he did them for the 70 GTO Edit: Whoopie Kat makes the Firebird decals.

Sign me up! Always wanted one of those kits! Too expensive for me when I was a kid.

Thought this might be interesting in this thread. Ran across this on another board. San Francisco couple and their two cats found dead after they were poisoned by carbon monoxide from 3D printer in their home http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4167150/San-Francisco-couple-died-leaking-3-D-printer.html#ixzz4X5bwcDGq

I know that some are trying to save a buck by using large cans of commercial paints to do their kits and then are shocked at the results. I know some have luck with these paints, but, why risk it? And yes, paint for plastic kits is not cheap, but then again, I have never had that issue because of the paint. This thread should be under General or Workbench. Not exactly a review or news.

The kit that was sacrificed so that the Bad Man may live.

Those kits really look good when built right, and this one is built right!
