  1. Sadly, I buy faster than I build. I used to wait, but sometimes the kits would be off the shelves by the time I looked for them, so now I buy when I find them. And it is so hard to pass up a good deal. So yeah, they add up!
  2. The first collection was a Club Member who became incapacitated and had to go into a care facility. We managed to sell off quite a bit of his collection in chunks, donated some to the Military Rec Centers overseas and gave away supplies and partial kits to club members. The second was a much larger collection, between kit shows and ebay, the collection was liquidated, but it did take some time and effort. HIs family handled ebay and I did the kit shows. Took almost two years to sell it off. I know when you are gone it is not your problem anymore, but those left behind get to clean it up. Hence why I am about to start cutting my stuff back. And I know I am above the 2K mark with my kits. Would be nice to stop paying for a Mini Storage every month! LOL!
  3. Do you really want to know? Because it is rarely a pretty picture. I have helped liquidate two collections and it was no fun. My friends are gone and it is not their problem anymore, it is now the survivors problem, and it is a lot of work.
  4. Get as many as you like! It is your hobby.
  5. That is one clean build. Very nice!
  6. True, but they could also be Pre Production images of the box mock up. Unless the kit is already out on the market. But yeah, that photo of the wheels blanked out makes you take note.
  7. Oh wow! Finally, they kitted the wheels! Looks like I will be going to order one of those instead. Thanks for the link!
  8. I got some Gotti's, now I need them in resin! LOL! And yes, the 1200 is killer! I passed on one back in the 80's because it wasn't a 510, and I regret it. The guy only wanted $75 for it! Just had a bad head gasket.
  9. Tamiya has a worldwide market they have to cater to, and American Hot Rods are not a thing around the world as much as other subjects. American kit makers cater to the U.S. market. With the exception being Revell of Germany, and you will notice that most of their offerings are very Tamiya like.
  10. Great build! Nice and Clean!
  11. My LHS said it is still listed as TBA
  12. I have one in the stash, Lindberg, and have thought about making a Shelby like R version out of it. Otherwise I will just let it keep sleeping in storage.
  13. Cool, my wallet needed a rest after the holidays! Those Mustang and Cougar II kits are Swap Meet table Herpes! You just can't get rid of them! LOL!
  14. The MPC Winged Express has perfect early Skinnies. Revell really dropped the ball when it made the Willy's Gassers with those Street looking tires up front.
  15. I need to find out why my LHS has it for just $16 bucks
  16. Is this them....? http://www.modeltruckin.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3
  17. Nice job! And a great way to see that safety had made some progress! LOL!
  18. Is it the same as the American SATCO issue?
  19. Yes! The blue Chopped Deuce! LOL! My uncle gave it to me as a Christmas present and it was the worst thing I ever tried to assemble up that point. Never finished it either! LOL! I should take another wack at it as well.
  20. Kudos to all those who have conquered the Revell Orange Crate, because I never have! LOL! Honorable mention...
