  1. I hit the Like ? I wish them much success and I do hope they make some cool stuff, and yes, something fresh would be nice. There have been plenty of resurrections lately, which is great, but a fully detailed vintage kit would be nice. But I am sure they are still quite a bit out from something like that happening.
  2. I hate to be the wet blanket, but, it seems to me that the resources to clone vintage kits is not there. Sure, they hopefully make some money on their current projects, but a whole new tooling of say, a Road Runner or Cadillac? Very doubtful. Using the JoHan name is tugging at heartstrings and desires of builders and collectors, but I sadly do not see much from this. Maybe they should have named it "All the Rare Kits You Wanted and Wish We Would Do LLC" or something.
  3. Time to start keeping and eye on the clearance aisle at Walmart...
  4. I had a conversation with the late Tom West back when the kit was released and asked about the problems with it, to which he replied that the kit was perfect, but, the guys at Accurate had messed it up. He drew up the instruction illustrations and handed them over with very specific assembly steps, but, the guy who ended up putting the instruction sheets together put the out of sequence! So yes, you will have problems if you use the kit instructions as is. But, he also said that they had fixed them and you could request, back then, a new set of instructions. He also said they had goofed on some of the specs on the A/N lines and some did not fit that well in the end. So the kit was not really that perfect after all. I myself have yet to tackle an Accurate kit, but this is looking very inspiring!
  5. They look like the Thunderbolt Radirs with the lug nut sections cut out.
  6. Now that you mention it, I think I might have the instructions somewhere in my stash, I need to take a look.
  7. I am surprised that those pieces where not accidentally left on the trees of the stude kit. But then again, I have never really looked.
  8. Well, it isn't this one! LOL!
  9. Another month off for my wallet! Nice!
  10. Grabbed a few things at the Spirit of Speed show at the NHRA Museum in Pomona, CA The taxi is only the box, but, I have bagged glue bomb that now has a new home!

  19. Ok, so now it is not working again! Come on!
  20. Maybe some of you would like to start a Go Fund Me for tool updates and restorations, since this all does cost money.
  21. Yeah, sadly no Ollie's around here. Our LHS had them for $42 and I said no, then found them at Walmart for the lower price. They never made it to Hobby Lobby
  22. I know it is a lot of plastic, but that is still pretty high for a Curb Side Plus type kit. I bought the surf one when it showed at Walmart for $24!
