How about, it looks more to scale?
-
Well, yes, you are actually waiting for the Slow Boat from China. Things are finally catching up pretty well, so I am sure Dave will have one more preview to show us, and then they should be on that slow boat. And if it's from Moebius, it's worth the wait.

Well, if the Comet mold is still around, I am sure they could whip up a new body for it, with corresponding parts included of course, so it is possible. And don't forget, Moebius is working on one

Wow! It came out sharp! Very sharp! Nice work!

Any Chance Of The Monogram Capri II Coming Back?
Daddyfink replied to oldcarfan's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
According to Scale Mates, the last version was issued in 1981. I have never seen any of the other kits in this series get re-issued recently, so it is hard to say if they went to Atlantis or if Revell AG kept them. They are not very detailed kits, but, they are mostly imports that would sell well overseas. -

Do you also have 1:1 project cars?
Daddyfink replied to ctruss53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks I like the smoothness and torque of the V6, and yes, the SR and KA are way too common. They are the SBC of the Nissan crowd. -

Thanks! It is a VG33E that has been punched out to 3.4L with flat top pistons. Just enough to let it get out of its own way. LOL! -

What the heck, I'll jump in with my never ending project, the Datsun 510 Still trying to figure out the EFI system, but getting pretty close to cruising it. Some interior work needs to be finished, like the carpet and some slight clean up on body work, where have dinged it while working on it.- 458 replies

What would YOU like to see as a model
Daddyfink replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, I think it might be a Robert Burns body, but I am not sure. I should send him a note and find out. But a complete kit would be awesome. -

My friends older brother used to street race with his 57 Chevy, and yes, he was the Fastest 57 Chevy in town! But that was the thing, there where faster Camaros, Mustangs, Chargers etc. etc. When he raced other tri fives, he won almost every time, but it was a bit different when he went up against newer muscle. Again, this thing is a nice car, but, not a Legend or Mythical, to anyone but the locals and friends. And as someone who has been in some fast cars, it takes quite a bit to make them that way.

This is turning into "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" "The Challenger Black Ghost is based on the 6.2-liter V-8-powered Hellcat Redeye, and it honors a legendary Challenger that used to dominate Detroit street racing." "This look mirrors that of the original Black Ghost, a 1970 Challenger R/T that gained a mythical aura in the Detroit street racing scene. Only 300 2023 models will be built."

I highly doubt it, they mostly stuck to the really special stuff, not a pretty much bone stock Challenger. One must remember that while that car is super special and rare now, it was just another well optioned Challenger back then. It is a cool car, there is no doubt, and I am sure most of the story is true, but it is not that special, at least to me. And trust me, I read about this car in Hagerty's monthly mag and it was a cool read, but after seeing this vid and reading other stuff, the coolness wore off a bit. Good for him for getting so much money for it, but he should be a bit more honest and realistic about the story.
