  1. I actually started this one a while back and finally decided to get back on it. I always wanted to build this car and never could get my hands on one until my friend Skip Samples got his hands on the kit and had Joe Curtis at Fremont Resin copy it. The original body in the kit is a two piece affair, like the Ramchargers and Galloping Ghost kits, as it shares the same chassis, that is split down the middle like and aircraft fuselage. He glued them together and then cut he cowl out to make more used friendly. Skip also did up some decals for it using the originals and his own interpretation on them. The results, I must say, are much better than the kit supplied decals. They are simply printed up on an inkjet printer and not an alps, The only thing he did not do, was to print up the white underlays for them, and I did not realize this until I applied them with out giving it much thought! I might have to re-decal the car with some white underlays. The car is not done yet and I need to get my butt in gear to finish it!! Only some sponsor decals and fuel lines remain to complete the car. Body, Resin replica by Skip Samples and Fremont Resin with some front panel mods by me to make it more correct. Chassis, Junker Ramchargers car from the Junk Box Front Axle. From Tony Nancy Double kit Rear Tires and Wheels . Tires are Replicas and Miniature vintage Revell and the rims are from the Garlits Wynns Jammer Engine. Revell 57 Chevy Glue Bomb. This was the only 283 I had laying around.Blower and Hat are Revell Funny Car. Pulleys are Wynns Jammer with a homemade timing cover and pump. Headers are from Tony Nancy kit. Moon Tank is from same 57 Chevy Hope I did not bore you too much with details. Hope you like it and all questions and comments are welcome!
  2. Crazy!
  3. I have a soft spot for the Mustang II, and yes, they where a vast improvement over the Station Wagons they called Mustangs in 1973! So, will a Mustang II front clip fit a Pinto? Talking sheetmetal, not suspension
  4. Why don't you just primer up a Monogram Bad Man and throw the Blairs Markings on it. Trying to graft that nose onto the AMT kit won't work out too well and the AMT 55 is a bit more correct to begin with. As for the wheel wells, yes, some small styrene rod and putty should do the trick. My friends 1:1 ex Gasser 55 had rebar and bondo to form the wheel well lips. So, why not in scale?
  5. That is so cool! Nice!!
  6. Cool! I did not know there was a Berretta pace car!!
  7. May I add this: STOP POSTING FUZZY PICTURES!!! Especially if they are taken with a digital camera! You can take pics until the battery dies!!! Fuzzy pic? Just dump it and try again!!! Don't be lazy!!!! Ok, I feel better, thanks!
  8. Good thing most of the body kit is on it! That is one of the hard to find items these days, unless you pay big bucks for a repro one. Just the fact that one of these cars is just laying around is pretty amazing. They are not easy to find. Good Luck!
  9. American Racing Daisy Mags give it some street cred
  10. Looks like a Bricklin, a Capri and one Anteater had an affair!! I hate to say it, but, I kinda like it

  20. Just use a hot butter knife! LOL!
  21. The whole idea of ebay if for folks to sell and make money, for themselves and ebay! This is not a social experiment on fairness and being nice, it is a business. If the seller wishes to sell it for that price and someone is willing to pay it, who an I to tell them they are wrong. Would I pay it, no, I have that choice, like everyone else, and will exercise it. The only thing I have against it is how many pages it takes up that I have to weed through to get to something good! It is almost like SPAM on ebay to me. Caveat Emptor!
