  1. Hey Mark! Yes, I still have all the resin goodies in my model room, just waiting to finish my 1:1 Project before I get to some serious model building and can finally put those engines and parts to good use! I am leery of getting on facebook, but might have to since there is some cool stuff going on there. Yeah, I do miss the Yahoo Groups a bit, but I am glad you guys kept it going somewhere else, Don't be a stranger!
  2. Thanks for the Info, Mark! Glad to hear from you again as well! I know that the dreaded tires where originally made in Japan, and oddly included aircraft tires in later issues, and apparently due to rising cost, they became a cost prohibitive issue. How much water that holds, I don't know and will credit to the rumor mill. Why Revell didn't make the tires more correct in this go round is beyond me, and now I am curious as to what they are going to be issuing in the upcoming re-release. Tom West told me that Aurora abandoned their tire molds in Canada and may still exists, but who would know that? Let's see what the Atlantis solution is for all this, should be interesting.
  3. It was the first image released that had me hoping for the American wheels, but looks like they are just doing an almost straight re-issue of the JJ car, but in green this time.
  4. They are coming, trust me, they are coming.
  5. Yes, they did a whole new set up, so I am curious as to what they did with the old version Trick Wheels. Those used the much disliked soft, hollow and brittle tires.
  6. I was really hoping they where going to use the newly tooled wheels from the last Hawaiian issue. Bummer, more trick wheels for the parts bin.
  7. Sure, it would just be a giant carb spacer after that.
  8. Revell Germany has always been a step ahead of Revell USA in quality of their kits, and now that they own the whole deal, I expect that quality to bleed into the Domestic Type car kits. This Mustang should be a good measuring stick on how that is going to turn out.
  9. GG2 is a longer wheelbase car, more like the Young American or Ivo car, and GG1 is this car. Why MPC kept using early version cars with second version decals is beyond me.
  10. I guess Worthpoint doesn't like people borrowing images
  11. Thanks! And congrats on your projects! That 510 looks like it is coming along nicely! My 510 was pretty much in that shape when I got it. I've owned the 510 since 1997 and finally got around to building it a few years ago. Hopefully I will figure out my electrical issues with the ecu and get it running soon, and then finish the darn thing! I need to hear this thing run!
  12. Sadly, once again, MPC uses later version marking on the early version car. To make a more accurate version, I would combine the rear body section with a Tony Ivo long nose dragster to make it more correct.
  13. The one in the kit, at least the last re-issue, was way off and appeared to be one for a Tony Nancy kit, the Revell kit! Weird. Also, the decals are wrong for this car. The ones included are for the '68 longer wheelbase car, not this Chute Pack body style car.
  14. Such a cool project! This is going to be good.
  15. Don't give them ideas!
  16. From a previous post
  17. Oh yeah, this van has been through the ringer.
