GG2 is a longer wheelbase car, more like the Young American or Ivo car, and GG1 is this car. Why MPC kept using early version cars with second version decals is beyond me.

Thanks! And congrats on your projects! That 510 looks like it is coming along nicely! My 510 was pretty much in that shape when I got it. I've owned the 510 since 1997 and finally got around to building it a few years ago. Hopefully I will figure out my electrical issues with the ecu and get it running soon, and then finish the darn thing! I need to hear this thing run!

Sadly, once again, MPC uses later version marking on the early version car. To make a more accurate version, I would combine the rear body section with a Tony Ivo long nose dragster to make it more correct.

The one in the kit, at least the last re-issue, was way off and appeared to be one for a Tony Nancy kit, the Revell kit! Weird. Also, the decals are wrong for this car. The ones included are for the '68 longer wheelbase car, not this Chute Pack body style car.

Such a cool project! This is going to be good.
