Well, if they can practically make a new kit out of the old Ertl International Transtar that is more correct, who knows, maybe they can at least do the body for the Van. But I am not holding my breath on it. But, at least they do have full detail interiors that can be used on the AMT Chevy Vans! But I do think they should bring back the MPC Off Road Ford vans at least. I have then sealed and I would love to have new ones for builders.

1/25 AMT 1963 Chevy II Station Wagon with Trailer

Product placement kit? -
So, nothing really exciting that we didn't already know about. The only bummer about the Craftsman kits is that they are priced almost as much as the full detail kits. And, the decals sheet is just a collection of decals I have never used and are stuffed in a box somewhere. I know that sadly that van will probably never be backdated and the stock version looked better than the Custom version.

Any news of Revell do something this year !
Daddyfink replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Went to my LHS yesterday and noticed that there is really nothing from Revell on the shelves. I inquired about it and they told me that the distribution is still way out of wack, and that most of what they did have on the shelves was pre pandemic stock! Has anyone noticed the shortage of Revell kits in their towns? -
Atlantis 1/16 Chevy Vega Green Elephant funny car

Nice build, but, my only caveat is the Parachute Line. It would rip the rear panel off that body as soon as it would deploy. Otherwise, nice build. -

Can't wait for them to show up. Will make a nice bookend for the DeLorean! *Libyans sold separately!

Well, at least it would have been a good starting point for building a large scale Mustang

I just wish that Revell would have tooled up a different body for these kits. You can only build so many Vega, Charger, Demon or Grand Am bodied cars. A Camaro, Cuda or Mustang would have been nice, and they had their shot when they did the 1/25 Blue Max Mustang back in 1999! And the problem with their bodies is that they are early versions and their windshields sit too far forward. Their 1/16th scale stuff is a niche market, but a very dedicated niche market. I collect large scale and have bought all their 1/16th scale drag cars. I am only missing the Mongoose Navy car.

The issue with the '57 Funny is that it is a '57 funny! Only a couple of folks had that body, and only McEwen was the big name that ran it. Otherwise, it is a chassis donor type kit. I only see folks who missed out on the last issue getting it. I know I'm not, as I already have a few and have yet to finish even one! And yes, I think the Green Elephant is selling mostly for the new decals and then secondary would be the scale. The Jungle Jim will sell at first, and again, for most of us 1/16th types, as a donor kit for different decals.

I started building one of these Mongoose funny cars when it came out, back in 1989! And have yet to finish it! LOL!

Well, I'll tell you this, you are good at creating drama! Bravo! I'll call Andy's tomorrow and ask a few questions, will let you know what kind of Drama goes down. -
The Revell Pie Crust Slicks I think where last issued in the Ms. Deal funny car, hopefully they use them again! Please, no two piece tires!!

Hey! I resemble that remark!

"He knows EXACTLY what he bought down to the last box" How do you know this? Andy is the real deal, he is not a BS artist, but he is a good business man. And how is it creating fake drama? By opening boxes and showing you what is in it? DRAMA RAMA! Creating Drama would be by placing all the good stuff in the boxes that are opened all time, not one good one and then Swap Meet fodder. I love the "He Takes Care of His Buddies" comments. Andy takes care of his customers, and yes, the best customers get a better shot at it, because they buy. Spending money vs. griping, Money wins.
