  1. The OP is totally entitled to his opinion and it is that simply, he can think and write whatever he wants. Some of us where mostly jabbing about worse kits out there, in our opinion, but some folks tend to take things personal and maybe a bit too far. There are lots of kits I am not too fond of and that is my choice to like or not like something. For example, I think building Factory Stock is the most boring thing in the world! And thus I rarely do it and that is my choice. If it ruffles your feathers, just think of what you don't like and move on. Freedom of Choice And one thing I know for sure, the world does not need another '57 Chevy Tool!
  2. And as a bonus, here is the Snow Plow that will be included in future truck kits.
  3. Fellow SDMCC member just posted these pics to the club and I thought I would share them here. Images came from Pegasus and the parts are currently on display in their showcase, like they did with the Nova, and apparently the will come with the '72 or '73 Ford Pick Up cab
  4. Very nicely done!
  5. I hope they tooled new tires for it, but those plastic ones are not bad once they are painted up.
  6. It is the Piranha drag car minus the body, and with the addition of the sand tires. So just this version has not been out for a long time.
  7. Made to Revell USA standards

  9. Well, we all waited for this, now let's wait for the stock version before we all loose our minds, or you guys loose your minds. As I really don't care for stock anything.
  10. Revell of Germany is more like Tamiya than Revell USA ever was, or will be, due to the fact that like Tamiya, they market to a Global Market, unlike Revell USA that mainly catered to American taste. Hopefully this will translate to better product from Revell in USA
  11. It is just and assumption, but I sure do hope they do better with their style of engineering vs. the USA version. And if you are talking about their 69 Mustangs, don't forget that kit is over 30 years old!
  12. Soon you will be able to get a fresh issue one from Atlantis! Look at those gaps! Fun!
  13. Luckily, some of these kits have been unscrewed and brought back to their former and original glory
  14. Hey Mark! Yes, I still have all the resin goodies in my model room, just waiting to finish my 1:1 Project before I get to some serious model building and can finally put those engines and parts to good use! I am leery of getting on facebook, but might have to since there is some cool stuff going on there. Yeah, I do miss the Yahoo Groups a bit, but I am glad you guys kept it going somewhere else, Don't be a stranger!
  15. Thanks for the Info, Mark! Glad to hear from you again as well! I know that the dreaded tires where originally made in Japan, and oddly included aircraft tires in later issues, and apparently due to rising cost, they became a cost prohibitive issue. How much water that holds, I don't know and will credit to the rumor mill. Why Revell didn't make the tires more correct in this go round is beyond me, and now I am curious as to what they are going to be issuing in the upcoming re-release. Tom West told me that Aurora abandoned their tire molds in Canada and may still exists, but who would know that? Let's see what the Atlantis solution is for all this, should be interesting.
  16. It was the first image released that had me hoping for the American wheels, but looks like they are just doing an almost straight re-issue of the JJ car, but in green this time.
  17. They are coming, trust me, they are coming.
  18. Yes, they did a whole new set up, so I am curious as to what they did with the old version Trick Wheels. Those used the much disliked soft, hollow and brittle tires.
  19. I was really hoping they where going to use the newly tooled wheels from the last Hawaiian issue. Bummer, more trick wheels for the parts bin.
  20. Sure, it would just be a giant carb spacer after that.
  21. Revell Germany has always been a step ahead of Revell USA in quality of their kits, and now that they own the whole deal, I expect that quality to bleed into the Domestic Type car kits. This Mustang should be a good measuring stick on how that is going to turn out.
