  2. took a trip to hobbytown and check out a mall we have never been to got the evo for 50% off still in plastic at HTU and the thinner was from Michaels with my trusty coupon as well
  3. Submerse in water and put into freezer. The water should expand in the cracks/voids, and hopefully make light work of separating parts
  4. Love the use of the metalizers
  5. grabbed an 18'' under cabinet light to mount to the top of my paint booth with a 4100K bulb. Sure does brighten things up in there!
  6. did you use solder or styrene for the IC piping I love checking in on this build
  7. I've bought many items from him. He is an odd guy to say the least. He had 2 ads with different information. And then 2 more he had copied from one. My wife and I were in tears when we got to the part about Russia
  8. Grabbed 2 k20a motors and 2 b16 motors, as well as a set of aoshima 19" professors off eBay
  9. Great tutorial and nice end product
  10. that is one hell of an exhaust! nicely done
  11. resin or solder turbo? what did you do to flare the end of the dump
  12. I made a thread about a booth as well. Parts tend to add up quickly and so does the time spent ensuring an effective design. Although you can cater it to your needs, sometimes a manufactured booth is the way to go. I searched CL high and low for one, they were always too far away or out of my price range. I was heading to a show about 2.5 hours away so decided to see what was available in that area, and sure enough there was a brand new, never painted in paasche booth. No spray what-so-ever and he had a bakers cart/rack with a wood from for the bottom of the booth to sit on the cart. Also threw in a box of 6 extra filters (the receipt for the filters was in the box - just short of $32) I paid 100 total for it The only other thing I want to do is add a light under the front of it and I have an old door from an entertainment stand I might try to fab to the booth to try to turn it into a dryer as well
  13. Do the heads come that way or are the installed upside down
  14. Of course military orders keeps me from home
  15. An amazing Subaru. Let me know if you'd ever had interest to trade or sell
  16. Took forever yo find. I spent about 2 months searching for items to build one myself, as well as one that was like this.just so happened I was going to Portland from Tacoma Washington for a show anyways and this guy was on the way back home. Need to get the vent tubing and some wood for the window, but I'm ecstatic to finally come across a legit booth
  17. I'd love a nicely tooled, non ttops mid to late 70s z28
  18. I ordered parts from over seas, Japan I think. Tracking showed it went to my in laws house some how. She corrected it with the post office and forwarded it to me. The tracking showed it was delivered and forwarded to the correct address Never showed up. Luckily the seller resent the full order at no cost, including the shipping
  19. I ended up getting this for $100 with the bakers rack and a box of 6 extra filters (receipt was in the box and cost a little over $30 with shipping). Brand new. Never been sprayed in
  20. I fish them out with the toothbrush I scrub them off with. Under hot soapy water, or use a paper clip
  21. Being an acrylic paint, it will brush on thin. If you are wanting thicker better coverage for brush painting pieces, try model master or Testors enamels. They will take longer to set so don't handle them right away or you'll leave finger prints all over them
  22. can anyone who has built their own post the the motors they are using and the size of their box? Every time I find a good deal on an actual brand booth (Paasche, Artograph) They always end up being a couple hours away. It looks like building one is going to be the route I take. I just want to make sure, with the motor being the main element, I purchase the right one from the get go
  23. I've had the same thing. I'll have to push the top down onto base every now and again. There's been a few occasions that it's actually popped off while I was moving parts after painting them
  24. appreciate the engine pic, but i was hoping for the turbo pictures
