Looks great! I have this kit and those decals too. I will get to it one of these years.

Well, currently my choice is limited to models I started the last thirty plus years and failed to finish or the gifted models I've received over the years. Started at about fifty plus. I have thirty some odd left. I alternate each build. I've been sort of scan and whatever lights my fire each time. That's my method.

Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Yes, it came with the mirrors, although I had to drill and pin the side mirrors because the attachment was so tiny, I knew they wouldn't stay. I built a few of those simple Monogram kits like the TR7 too when I was a kid. Lacked details, but looked good on display. The Datsun road racer, Porsche 911 Carrera, and 911 Rally. I wonder what ever happened to the molds?

Another gift model from my son. This release is from 1985. The original dates to 1978. Like most Japanese kits from the seventies, it's more toy than model. Sparse interior (no door panels), battery power and motor chassis, so that's compromised. However, the body looks the part. The decals worried me. They didn't fall apart, but they didn't respond well to the softeners. The only mod was adding a tail pipe. This is only the second Gunze kit I've ever completed. The first was in 1980, it was the the Cobra II race car offered by US Airfix without racing decals. It was meant to have a battery powered motor as well. Anyway, it's finished and I only have one other Japanese model toy to finish in the future. It's an MPC Ferrari that I believe was ESCI before.

Thanks! Thank you! I was really lucky on the color. I looked at a lot of photos of all the different Tamiya red colors and ran across one where they had sprayed black before the red and looked so close to the few color photographs I could find. Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Certainly is laid back! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! They build up pretty well without a lot of effort Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Researching the interior was tough, because no where were there clear pictures of the TV. I googled portable TVs 1950's and an Admiral T102 came up, closely matched, and I'm pretty sure they are the same. The screen was this color of grey and the "glass" that comes in the kit a little frost at the edge and it turned out well.

Finished this tonight. A little bit of problems with the bubble top. I'll have to live with it. Difficult to find good color photos of how it looked when it was red. I'm painting it like it was when Monogram purchased it from Starbird. I saw the restoration version in blue many years ago at a car show, but took no pictures. This is another kit started back around 1990 and put away. I've also tinted the bubble top. The chrome was terrible, so I stripped it and repainted it with Alclad II chrome. Paint is Tamiya TS95 red metallic over gloss black. Last picture was as found in box. Old masking tape sucks. I have a few more in boxes with this malady. I wish I'd never taped up these kits the first time. That black speck in the bubble is a piece of trash in the plastic. In the hundreds of models I've built, this is a first

023 was a great year! This is the most productive I've been since I was a bachelor in the early to mid eighties. Fifteen models completed this year. About half were already started years ago, so that made it a little easier. Paint acquisition was probably the biggest issue earlier this year. I've grown fond of Tamiya spray paints, but my local(other side of city) hobby shop was often out of needed colors. I have discovered, I'm not proud of it, Amazon has them and they ship quickly. So, that was a help. Anyway, my quest to complete started models and gift models continues. I still have around thirty to go. Maybe if I really grind hard, I can complete twenty next year!

Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! i look forward to seeing your gangster version! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! I built a few models above my ability when I was young too. More glue fixes everything! Thanks Thank you! I was inspired by a LeBaron version Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Thank you! Thanks! Good old Homer, such an inspiration! Thank you! First time using Alclad II chrome, and it turned out better than I expected. Thanks! Yeah, truly big cars! I have several 1/24 20s-30s luxury cars from the Mints and none fit in the standard plastic display cases.

I can't say I enjoyed building this model, but I'm happy with the results. Round2 brought back this old kit with the motorcycle and gangster options. I passed on those, but the rest looks OK. Typical sixties MPC issues, with fiddly chrome, vague locations for parts, etc. I'll never understand how kids finished them years ago. I added a missing upper radiator hose and the rumble seat does not work, it's either open or closed. The golf bag hatch on the side will open, I just didn't take a picture. Anyway, last build for the year, that makes fifteen. With top on My green I used was brighter than I wanted, but it was all I had on on hand Initial mock up Tamiya Gloss black and Alclad II chrome for the wheels I used Tamiya gloss aluminum for the silver. Masked with bare metal foil. The newest it terrible! leaves residue behind! Ugh! Guess that's it! Thanks!
