  1. Very nice. Of course. I'd expect one less from you.
  2. Very nice. A very pretty car.
  3. Looks nice. But, I'm not sure how I feel about the color. We all have different tastes. Still, it does not discount the great job you did on the kit.
  4. I have never heard of this one. Very cool. Thanks again Greg, for sharing another great and interesting car story with us. I like the car, a lot. It's a shame it never went beyond the one prototype car. And it's interesting, that despite Ford's lack of interest in building many of the GT40 MkIIIs and no Shelby Lone Star Cobras. They would then in a few years decide back and sell the DeTomaso Pantera. And then making the mistake of selling that one though their Lincoln-Mercury stores. Somehow one gets the impression that Ford really know what in that segment of market.
  5. Just purchased on eBay this morning. Cheap! Been think about adding this one to my collection for a while. I think it will be a nice companion to my AMT '67.
  6. Nah. I like the overall looks of the '39. Headlamps and tail lamps, etc. But, I like the features of the 40's. Like the column shift lever and the vent windows, etc. So AMT's '39/'40 kit is perfect as far as the features I want. I can build a model that has best features of both years. I'm happy with this. Besides, if I want a Standard '40, I have Revell's '40 coupe kit for that. Even then, I will be including the right taillight on that one. My models do not always need to be exact representations of the real thing. I like them close. But, I'm willing to sometimes look the other way on minor things. Nice model above, by the way.
  7. I'm building my '40 sedan as a '39, using only the parts included in the kit. Yea, I know it's not correct. But, I'm claiming it was a Ford prototype for the '40 disgusted as a '39 to not draw much attention to it as they tested the car on the streets of Detroit back in the summer of 1939. That's my story. And I'm sticking to it. ?
  8. Car collection? It's a junk yard. An interesting junk yard. But, still a junk yard. Don't get me wrong I love junk yards, and can have a lot of fun in one. It would be fun to explore this one. But, when I think of car collection. I think of something else.
  9. Again, I'd love to see pictures and/or a review of the above kit.
  10. Very cool. And very rare, even brand new. I hope you open them up, give us a review and a chance to see them.
  11. A great idea. But, you were surprised that Jaguar 6 was not going to fit were a Ford 4 cylinder once sat? Yea, no quick and easy build based on that idea.
  12. Stunning. Just beautiful.
  13. My thoughts exactly.
  14. Great box art. If I didn't have one already, I buy that one for the box art alone.
  15. From the photos it looks great.
  16. What did you use for the popcorn itself? I'm not a fan of this kit, but I like the job you've done with it.
  17. Beautiful!
  18. I edited my mistake. It was supposed to read "Wake me when your through."
  19. The later AMT '71 Chargers are based on a whole new tooling. The MPC '71 Charger got updated every year, as next year's Charger. Starting in 1972 through '74.
  20. LT-1/ZR-1. ZR-1 came with the LT-1 motor. Yet you could get the LT-1 without ordering the ZR-1 package. So can this kit be built as a Corvette with the LT-1, but without the ZR-1 package? Or can you only really only build this as a '70 Corvette with the ZR-1 package? There is a difference.
  21. Interesting.
  22. As others have noted, you did a very nice job. I'm also amazed how much smaller the car looks without the bumpers.
