  1. What's the story behind that Atlas Moving Van model? What was it modeled after? The tractor looks like something a Japanese model company would have designed. And wasn't the tractor also available with a dump trailer? What I've seen of this kit, I've only seen online in the year or so. I never have seen it or the dump trailer model before that or in real life. It's an interesting model. And I'd like to know about it. P.S. Actually isn't that a North American Van Line truck, and not an Atlas as I look closer at it?
  2. Yea. No arguments from me on any of the above. But, come on. We need the model of My Mother the Car to come back! (Not!)
  3. One of my holy grails is shown above. The AMT '72 Camaro SS, with the non-RS front end.
  4. Are you two telling me you don't want a model from one of the greatest TV shows of all time? ? Especially since it's star Jerry VanDyke just passed away recently. And with Barris' passing a while back. Round 2 needs to do a tribute model.
  5. That's always been my understanding. Phaeton is just another name for a Touring.
  6. Found the photos.
  7. It may be weird, but I love Rommel's Rod. Finally got a chance to build one a few years back. If I could find it again in the "Underglass" area I'd post a link. It turned out great. I had a lot of fun with that one.
  8. Too bad. Now does this mean the tooling for My Mother the Car remains? And if so, how soon can we expect to see a reissue of that? I'm not sure if I'd buy a MMTC kit if it was reissued?
  9. Yea. I just went over to Drastic Plastic to look at both kits instruction sheets. The XR-6 was not sacrificed to do My Mother the Car. They share nothing. And it obvious when you look at MMTC's instructions, it is AMT's '27 T touring with some slight modifications. More than just the hood and radiator. But not much more. So I don't think My Mother the Car hurt either of two cars above in long run. Especially not XR-6. Now were is the tooling for the XR-6? What happened to it? This I'd like to know.
  10. I'm a bit confused on this. The box above states you can build two complete cars from that kit. The '27 T touring and XR-6. We know the '27 touring survived. What happened to XR-6? My understanding, My Mother the Car was tool off of the '27 touring. Just basically a different hood and radiator. The XR- suspension and motor look nothing like MMTC.
  11. Nice truck and kart. Beautiful.
  12. Beautiful. I love all Corvairs. And the Rampside has always been one of my favorite Corvairs.
  13. Very nice. Everybody likes to put this kit down. I too have built one. I like it and the end results. It's a nice kit, as your build proves.
  14. Very nice. I too like the color.
  15. I really like the green '32. Very nice and clean. Sweet.
  16. Boy, are you going back in history always for that one. But, at the same time, you are right.
  17. Holy smokes. That is a lot of resin. Being a Suburban fan, I particularly like the '57 Burb.
  18. Nice to see one of those kits so nicely done. I like the '56 Mercury 4-door Phaetons a lot. It was always a sharp looking car IMO.
  19. Beautiful.
