Round 2 January 2018 Product Spotlight
unclescott58 replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I love these videos. Chad does a great job. But, I too find nothing, again, this month, I want to spend my money on. Too bad. -
Thank you for sharing this with us. I love Buicks, and I envy you for having this kit. When are you going to build it?

Sunbeam Tiger reissue questions
unclescott58 replied to '70 Grande's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Hate to say this, but I still do not understand how one mounts part #37! Any photos of this? -
Are there any plated parts in the above kit? I have their 1/35 scale Packard, and there are none in that.

I'm curious about this kit. The only Switchers kit I've built in the past was the '32 Ford Sedan/Phaeton kit. I build it as the Sedan, and was quite pleased with it. So I'm looking forward to adding this one to my collection. And looking at the instructions on line Snake, I like the soft tops rear window. I know it's a bit kitsch. But, it's kitsch in a way that works for me.

Another good one Greg.

I'll be interested in learning more about this one.

Here are a couple more photos. One showing modifications (paint) to make the taillights stand out more. I don't know if it helped all that much?

I love the wheels and other small details over the later ones. -
Amt 1958 Impala Vs Revell 1958 Impala
unclescott58 replied to BigPoppa's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Interesting, despite my comments above, about two or three month's ago I bought a copy of Revell's '58. I really can't say it's any better or worst than AMT's Impala. I like them both. I just lean towards the AMT a little more because of nostalgia. -
Another lovely one.

I want this one. Very cool! -
Yea. The taillights are a bit of a problem with this kit. They're molded into the rear fenders, and there are no decals. My plans are to go over them with a Molotow chrome pen. Then a little Testor's stoplight red.

Here is MPC's 1940 Ford Fire Chief snap kit. Built as close to stock as one can with what comes in the box. I did not the Fire Chief version. So I filled and sanded all the holes and mounts for the Fire Chief equipment. I also left off the lake pipes. I painted it Tamiya Italian Red. Over all, I like the way it turned out. This is number two of four in my 1/25 scale '40 Ford coupe kits. A week or two ago I showed you the finished build of the Lindberg version. With in the next month or two, I will be finishing AMT's '40 coupe. Followed be Revell's a little bit later. So far, I like the AMT kit the best. Despite not being finished with or the Revell kit yet.

Vintage Revell Parts Packs -complete set
unclescott58 replied to Rocking Rodney Rat's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Your icon picture say otherwise. ? Though I have to be careful not to throw stones. I'm 59 and do look worst than that package. Of course I did 55 years ago too. -
Who is the boss? I don't get this.
-
Yea, to you too. And everybody else out there.

I've used Model Roundup several times, and have always received what I wanted, with very go service. One of the good ones out there.
