It's been a while since I've seen Grease. The above photo shows the Mercury from the movie, and it has white lettered tires? Somehow that doesn't seem very "50's" to me. And those wheel covers? American Graffiti always feels true to the time period it represents, to me. Grease is a fun movie, but IMO it really did not do a good job representing the 50's. Back to the Future does a much better of capturing the feel of the 1950's. And again, don't get me wrong, I like the movie Grease. The automotive scenes in that movie have always turned me off.

Has anyone built these?

I have the wonderful 1/43 scale Firebird III die cast put out by Bizare/Minimax. The Firebird III and the Lincoln Futura are my two favorite concept cars ever. -
Do NASCAR kits sell out anymore? I thought that trend passed about 15 years ago. I hope I'm wrong, and this does sell well enough for other non NASCAR models to follow. In the meantime I'll be passing on this one.

Now that is funny! ? I hated both versions of that Ford from that movie. The white one is almost acceptable. The lighting bolts are the biggest turnoff. The red one? Just see John's comment above. ?

A very sharp Firebird. It looks great.

Hey! I thought everybody, other than me, hates Mutt IIs. I amazed at the response this kit is getting. Are others finally waking up to how cool the Mustang II is? As I thought they were when they appeared on dealers showrooms back in the fall of '73? It's about time.

I won't be buying it. Beside I have an earlier issue in my collection.

By the way, thanks for all the comments. You guys are okay.

If this was a non NASCAR, factory stock 442, I'd buy one. The above version doesn't interest me at all.

Another Ford clone.

I love the Petrolicious videos. And this is another good one. It also makes me wonder about the old MPC kit of the Howmet Turbine. I'm wondering if that's the car MPC modeled? Or another variation? I have to go to work, so I don't have time to research it right now.

2019 Mustang Bullitt

Jay Leno drove both the 2019 and the original car recently on Leno's Garage. It was really sad to see how bad the original car looked and sounded. The owner wants to keep it as original as possible. I think it's mistake. It needs a little work. -
AMT Altered wheelbase kit ?

Why do you want to delete this thread? It sounds like it could be the start of another interesting subject. -
Were you from the Twin Cities back then? The local Brooklyn Park, MN AMC dealer had a red Matador with lemons on it, and the slogan "The Lemon Deal."

Similar. I changed a few small detail I didn't like on the box art build that is similar.

Very nice. I love '32 Fords.

Did I paint the car? Of course I did. Tamiya TS26 Pure White. Other than some pre decorated and snap kits, I always paint my models. Actually I would have been pretty happy with this kit if it wasn't for the decals. If I ever find alternate decals, I will strip the Firebird Designs decals and replace them. If it wasn't for the red side decals I would have been much happier with this kit. The kit was acceptable, despite the other problems with the kit. I was just disappointed after all work I put into the kit, and the decals kind of ruined the end results.

Wow! This is embarrassing. Pleanty of people are looking. But, no one is willing to comment? Come on guys. You won't hurt my feelings on this one. I do know how bad this one is.

Okay. The photos hopefully are showing up again.
