  1. Smells good? I was always told that sniffing glue was bad for you. Destroys brain cells. What are you thinking?
  2. Looking at Steve's build above reminds me of the only thing I never liked on this kit. And that is the rear bumper. The way that rear bumper was designed on the model kit, it does look right to me. It's too fat, and/or flat? I don't know? It just doesn't look right were the bumper and rear fenders comes in contact. This problem was true on all MPC Camaros from 1978 - 1981. Great kit otherwise. I had forgotten about this until see Steve's kit.
  3. I love these type of reviews. I don't care if it's a new or old kit. It's always appreciated. Thank.
  4. Lindberg '61 Bel Air? Isn't this Lindberg's '61 Impala?
  5. I love mine. It's been handy quite a few times. And I like the size of it. The handle is a little fatter than a regular X-acto knive. I find it to fit better in my hand for some reason? I'm not throwing out my others knives. But, do like this one a little bit better.
  6. I didn't know who he was, but I'm very sorry to hear about this none the less.
  7. Okay, yesterday afternoon I decided to try applying Revell's Red Line tire decals to a set of Revell's tires. Both the decals and tires were from Revell's wonderful 1967 Corvette roadster kit. I hate those darn decals. I don't know if I've ever been able to get a set of them on four tires in a row with any success. The first tire I went to do yesterday, went down perfect. A little adjustment. But, not a major problem. It look good. The second tire? Nothing but disaster. And more I tryed to fix it the worst it got! Somehow the decal ends up twisting, and refuses to untwist and lay down flat. ? I hate Revell tires in general. I can get the wide white decals on their tires with no problems. I don't like them as well as tampo printed wide whites. But, they're okay. The Red Lines? I don't think I've ever gotten a successful set done? Does anybody out there have any suggestions? Has anybody ever gotten them to work?
  8. What I'm seeing looks pretty good. I'm excited!
  9. How are you busting my bubble?
  10. Went searching online for bronze colored '73 Mach I. Found several pictures of'73 Mach 1s in a color called "gold glow" with black stripes that looks pretty nice. I think I may have try replicating my '73 in that color.
  11. Not high on my wanted list. But, I always thought the Flapjack was cool. And if they reissued it, I buy one. The other one I'd like to see, that I don't think Tom Daniel actually designed, but it was tied to him at the time, is the Ghost of the Red Baron. I know it didn't sell well in its first release. But, those who would mainly be in charge of buying such an expensive kit back then, has changed in 45 years. I know I couldn't afford to buy it back then. And my parents or other adults may not have thought of it as be "cool" or appropriate to buy me one as a gift. I want one! Now I have the money and no one questioning if it's right for me to have one or not.
  12. Somebody else brought this up a week or two ago. I can not remember if it was in a posting here? Or someone in our local model car club meeting mentioned it? Anyhow, I download the instructions to my iPad so I can remain excited until I get the real thing in my hands. It looks good.
  13. Good news. I'm hoping they'll look at reissuing the Poison Pinto and the Mean Maverick. Two kits I want real bad. Most everything else of Tom Daniel kits I've wanted over the years has been reissued, and I've purchased. The Poison Pinto (the original green version) and the Mean Maverick are two that I'm missing that I had as a kid. And I would love to have them both again.
  14. I'm painting something everyday right now, before my basement gets too cold too. I will continue painting as long as it stays fairly warm down there. I've got so many projects right now in different states of build, just waiting for certain parts that need to be painted certain colors. It's a bit chaotic around here right now. But, that's part of the fun.
  15. Are you going to build what's left of the Olds as a convertible then. I hope so. And I hope post pictures of sport coupe conversion as your doing it. I'm wondering how easy of conversion it will be? Not only do you have change the roof, but the rear deck lid too.
  16. CBs and Disco! Both came on big time, about the same time. I remember having a pink polyester leisure suit at that time. ? Ugh! But, my girlfriend liked it. And being of the "right age" at the time I could not say no. ? I also wore "Earth Shoes" back then. They didn't go with the pink leisure suit, and they were not great for dancing disco in. But, I loved those shoes, and wouldn't mind having a pair now.
  17. Any chance of making more and selling those decals? I really like them.
  18. I like your reviews and enthusiasm for "loser" cars Adam. I too like these types of cars for some reason. I bought my Pacer wagon about a month ago. And I'm very pleased with what I found in the box too.
  19. I get a kick out the "Escort" radar detector. No CB?
  20. I've seen that, now that you mention it. And that is a great suggestion. Thanks.
  21. I'm sorry, but I do not like the above take on a '72 Road Runner. For one I've never seen the GTX emblem used that way before on the '72. And I'm in minority here, but I really do not like those whose. Or the painted out bumpers. I understand why they made those changes to the car. But, I don't like it.
  22. Tooling costs the issue? They had the money to retool several of the missing parts in the AMT Mod Rod '29 Model A they recently reissued. At the same time, and know this will make you '72 fans unhappy, but there are enough of us out there that would be happy with a straight reissue of '71. I suspect Round 2 would not the money convert the kit to a '72 for that reason. If they ever reissue the '71 I'd be happy enough and buy one. Though I do like the looks of the '72 much better. It had a neater looking grille and rear bumper/taillights. As far as the interiors go on these Road Runners. On the real car you could get the cheap interior, with a plain bench and plain door panels as standard equipment. Or the deluxe one with the same buckets as found in the GTX as an option. One of the reasons for dropping the the GTX for 1972 was that the Road Runner had gotten to be basically the same car when the right options were added. Why keep two similar cars in your model lineup for 1972? Muscle cars weren't selling as well as they had a few years before. And those who were buying Plymouth muscle cars were buying Road Runners rather than GTXs. Buy buy GTX. It should be noted, starting in 1972 you could the GTX's standard 440 4-bbl. engine as an option in your Road Runner. And when you ordered that engine you small GTX emblems along with your Road Runner ones. This held true on the '73s and '74s too. When I built my '74 Daisy Duke Road Runner a few years ago, I didn't like the decals that were in the kit. The little Road Runners that should have been there, were not. So, I bought a set of correct decals from Keith Marks. And I was very pleased to see that on his hood stripes announcing the 440 under the hood, he had also included the correct GTX emblems. If Round 2, or someone else ever does offers us another '72 Road Runner kit, I hope they includes the proper GTX decals, besides the proper Road Runner ones.
  23. MPC made one back when the cars were brand new. That's another kit I'd like to see Round 2 bring back. If they ever do, I'll be buildin mine to match your fleet. But sorry, it will stay in my fleet of cars if it ever happens. I don't have anywhere near the fleet of Shelby related cars that you do. I do have enough that I'm sure Carol is pleased with me from the great beyond.
  24. I got my decals from Keith Marks in the mail today. As normal, the decals from Mr. Marks are perfect. In fact they are better than they look on his webpage. The ordered the decals in black. Now, what color do I want to paint this car? For some reason, I've always liked this particular Mustang in Yellow. The trouble is that I've done three cars recently in Yellow. Red would be my second choice. But there, I did a the Boss 351 kit a few years ago as a '71 Mach I in Red (wanted it to look close to the Bond car from Diamonds are Forever). Again using Keith Marks decals. So Yellow it most likely will be.
  25. Another beautiful airplane. But, didn't the real thing have a reputation as being an SOB to fly, and especially to land? I've seen footage on YouTube showing at least one crash of one, killing the pilot. And if I remember correctly the pilot was suppose be one of the better pilot out there.
