THanks so much. I've got a little OCD about squiggly trim lines. Have retouched several of my older builds. THanks DynoMight, much appreciated for the link. YOu'd be surprised to know I used 3M scotchtape for this one. It worked cause the window inners weren't too curved. That scotch tape is excellent for preventing bleed through. But terrible for compound surfaces. Will try getting some of the tamiya tape. Getting stuff via online is a pain in my country.

not a huge fan of massive wheels, but this car is so beautifully done, those wheels look right on it.

Hard to tell this isnt real.

And here i was thinking the 'before pic was pretty BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH awesome that it didn't need re-doing. And then i was wrong. Wow.

If only everyone had the skills to do such 'poorly done' models.

wow, the kit is very well built.

Beautifully done. Doing the black rubber seal AND the chrome trim on the window surround must have been a pain.

NO way!!. This is the regular Tamiya Supra kit? BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, this is fine bit of custom work.

SO awesome. I wish i had skulls ot put on my 348. I got the Hasegawa kit but don't want it to be red.

Is that by any chance the horribly ill shaped Revell RS 3.0? That is one horrible kit and i have it lying a round and not quite sure what to make of it. If that is the case, you've done an amazing job turning that eye sore into art.

That black Cuda is to die for.

You should build it. Easy, quick work unless you start customising. But painting the window details is a bitch. Where I'm form, we don't even get good quality thin masking tape for modelling. Had to make do with 3M scotch tape. Missing detail is annoying. Only Fujimi piece i got is a AE86. Looks pretty accurate but not sure. Curbside model though so sadly no engine awesomeness.

Cheap rattle can paint? Looks terrific. SO what does it matter, eh?

The one build where almost everything went flawlessly....almost. Then the black basecoat bled through after I applied the clear. Too soon perhaps. The Nissan is lightly tweaked. Slight lowering of the front, added a hand made chin spoiler and smoothed the rear spoiler for a more fluid look. Currently has the left hand drive setup but thinkgin of going for the right hand drive. The engine has a few molded in parts. Needed to clear up some of that. An actual 300ZX engine isn't pretty to look at. The piping looks wrong here, in fact it's kinda incomplete on these Tamiya models, but oh well. I wish I could have added different wheels but where I'm from, kinda difficult to get parts. THe best I could do is give it a satin black finish. Overall, this is a wonderful kit by Tamiya with everything providing excellent fit.

Am i the only one who had a defective Tamiya R32? It had one A pillar coupla millimeters shorter than the other, meaning the glass would never ever sit right. So i had to cut the shorter A pillar and lengthen it to make everything fit. But yeah, rest of everything is brilliantly detailed and accurate.

Wow. Amazing kit. Hard to tell if it was the real thing or not.

Sometimes simplicity is best. Brilliant.

It turned out way too cool

Beautiful build and one of the most beautiful blues I have seen. Any chance of getting a color code?

Who else has had a disaster build?
nutboltu replied to clovis's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Tamiya Skyline R32. I thought it had warped or got bent out of shape while being brought in the suitcase. WIndow wouldn't fit. Turns out the left side A pillar was coupla millimeters shorter than the other causing the roof to be weirdly slanted on one side. Cut, add plastic, resize, paint. And an AMT (i think) DOdge DAytona. The BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH nose wouldn't fit no mattter what. Required much, much cutting and fitting. -
I can't seem to rely on stuff getting to my address here. One of the many issues of Bangladesh, unreliable postal service. Having a friend bring me a bunch of stuff this week. BUt i think i'll have a go at ordering something small and see if it arrives properly. I think I am the only dude in Bangladesh building these things. I know a couple of people who have opened the boxes and put it back in too worried about painting. And there's a few into planes. That's it. It';s a tiny, tiny community here. Btw, thanks to all the encouraging words from everyone. Sorry I have not been able to reply more promptly. Expect to see a few more light to heavy restomods form me. Stock isn't really my thing.

wow. love the insane detailing like the pop out rear window and the fake rusty exhaust pipe
