Very nice and clean builds! Since '96 you say. Fear not, I have some projects that were started in '77, and not done yet..... They have been shown here. Some day I'll get around to painting them.

It's cool. How about if you swapped those wheels for some old school white walls and custom hubcaps?? I mean, the rest of the car screams custom, but those wheels....

Hey man, it looks cool! And if it's your second model with a rattle can paint job, I'd say you did a good job. Even if it's flat black.... No one's a master model builder right from the start.... Awesome car! Sounded like a really weird combo at first..... But it works. That first underhood pic made me wonder if it was a real car! Guess it's the outdoor scenery that fools ya.... But please, if you can, move those front wheels a bit forward. They need to be centered in the wheelwell. Make some offset piece of plastic, or whatever, but just move the wheels forward!

Yes they all look the same, but some of the Revell kits' valve covers are wrong. It's the '68-'69 Corvette kits, they have 8 bolts.... On the real engine, you have 7 bolts around the valve cover. And the side with 4 bolts ALWAYS faces the exhaust side.

Hey that's a different idea. What if you graft the Camaro rear wheel wells/quarter panels onto the Nova body as well? That would complete the conversion.

Oh, ok it wasn't too bad considering a mint kit runs around 320-350$. 180 bucks + shipping 31$, + customs duty, about 70$ when it arrived....So I guess it came close to almost 300$ anyway. But I see it as an investment, like many of my models. Maybe it's not like art or stamps, or other stuff that's considered valuable in fine circles, but we know our stuff!

Found an Uncertain T on the 'bay a couple of weeks ago. At first I wasn't thinking of bidding, but you know how it goes, it's almost like a drug..... But I was sure some "sniper" would slam and get it in those last seconds. Nope, didn't happen. So now I have two, and I wasn't going to buy more models.... yeah, right! I confess, I'm addicted. Here it is, second issue in the regular size box, as opposed to the early Monogram flat boxes. Pic is from seller. Only things missing are the glass parts. I also bought a Mako Shark from our own Mr Obsessive. And tonight I found the first issue of the '56/57 Corvette. I had it, but this one was just a little better.... Maybe I should call myself "Obsessive Collector".... but I don't think I'm a hopeless case....hehe

Here's my daily driver, a '00 Volvo V70 GLT, auto trans. Smooth ride compared to the old 240....! Pic was taken late December, just some day before I bought it. And here's my toy; '72 El Camino. Has a 350/350 that needs to come out this winter. I plan to get some aluminum heads, or maybe even the complete package with heads, intake and matched cam from Edelbrock.

Hey, cool paint job! What brand did you use? I have some HoK purple metallic/flake that I plan to use on something......I also have a Caprice project in the works. Someday I'll get that one going again

Yes I see your point, you did use the custom grille. So it could have been an old conversion to five bolt wheels, speaking hypothetically of course..... Thanks for the info regarding the salt. I have to check it out some more.

This is really an outstanding build! Color is gorgeous, interior is cool. I just found one of these on ebay, so now I have both kits.

What if you drop it on the lowrider wheels again? I thought it looked real good! Muscle car with lowrider wheels..... Please leave the donk wheels, ugh, gives me the creeps!

Cool project you got there! Good idea to use the NASCAR chassis. That crappy body, as you put it, is in reality a very old MPC mold from the late sixties. So you can figure it's worn out..... Try and remove those front side panels. Or file them smooth with the front end. They really look strange, and out of place. I wonder what they were thinking at AMT/ERTL when they remodeled this kit. Those panels would probably look ok if you cut away the lower part of the front fender, and replaced the cut part with them. Then you'd get a more flush finish. Maybe I should try and do this on the kit I have..... someday.

Wow, interesting project! I like how you fixed the body. Now I know what to do if I buy that kit..... I need to come up with some fancy paint job for the snap kit first.
