  1. Pace Car decals seem a bit out of place on this one. That black and silver paint looks good. Someone else beat ya to it......
  2. Juergen, that Revell/old Monogram kit is NO good! Get rid of it!!! Build a junkyard car out of it....hehe. Try and find an old AMT kit like George says, as it's the best one when it comes to body proportions. Tim Boyd did a kit comparison in an old issue of Scale Auto, and found that the AMT kit was the best! Even though it has the molded in exhaust system.
  3. Nice to hear it was found. I've had models stolen from me, out of display cases. One was in a hobby shop, and the other was at a model contest held at a Hot Rod show. This was a long time ago, 1976-77, but I still wonder where those models ended up. Will they ever surface, or have they been smashed to bits? The first one was a replica of Milner's coupe, and the other was a custom Chevy van, with full scratchbuilt interior, the works! What's wrong with these people that snatch that type of model? I mean, he can't show it and feel proud. Makes me angry now as I'm writing this! That Chevy van was a real show winner!
  4. No under hood pics? That fuel injection unit seems to sit mighty high, seeing that the intake stubs show at the top of the hood....and no fuel lines/hoses or linkage showing... Hmmm, I wonder if it's a fake injection on top of a four barrel.....?? No engine would sit that high in a 55-57 Chevy. I used to have a '55 Bel Air HT, and the engine was way down there. Those were the days, 30 years ago!
  5. Hmmmm, what is it??? Ohh I know, gotta be Dr Fate's new ride.....! Remember that old movie, "The Great Race" or something like that, from the midsixties or so..... yes, I'm old.....
  6. No chrome trim at all around the windows.....?? Flat silver for oxidized trim, maybe? Or are you still making last minute details? I know you're one of the best when it comes to weathering and cool dioramas. Still miss the chrome trim....
  7. I'd go with the gasser look!
  8. It's a real cool project, Virgil! I have to try building more beaters. Did a Cobra some year ago..... Anyway, it's coming along nicely. I like that rust and salt technique, that's a must try! I want to see some more rust on the exhaust system. All the Chevies I've had, always had crappy rusted exhaust, that was replaced. Is the interior going to get "the treatment" as well?
  9. Yes it's a Palmer, or Premier. They were strange kits. Had some interesting bodies, but out of proportion. Like the Karmann Ghia, an early Porsche, Volvo P1800, and maybe some more? They all had this generic silly chassis, with a V8. I remember somtime in the late 80's, I got hold of the P1800 for someone, and I thought it was a joke! But the guy wanted the P1800....
  10. Guten tag Juergen. Yes I can speak some german. Maybe not as good as english.... Your project is very nice looking! The '65-'66 Impala have always been one of my favorite cars. Those wheels you have, what are they? They look very much alike a set I have: Pegasus Dz's, but mine are gold, 19' Maybe I should try a similar build with these gold wheels.....?
  11. Ok, how about this one, lowest beetle ever, built in Sweden!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5gtEbnlw2M&NR=1
  12. Don't forget AMT's Don Garlits' Wynns Jammer. The Chrysler engine had a separate crank, and pulleys, rubber drive belt, and rotors inside the blower case! It looks like the crank could make the rotors turn, but I'm not completely sure. Is this engine part of that engine parts pack?
  13. Wagons are cool! I think I dig them better than the too common hardtops and convertibles that you see lots of in the summer. I had a '62 Bel Air wagon for five years. '94-'99. Is that a Modelhaus casting? Looks very crisp. Love to see what you do with it....
  14. Wow Zed, it looks great, with clear and the chrome tape! The perfect touch! What kind of wheels do you have planned for it, or Gloria?
  15. Hey cool, Mr T! Where did you find him...? Always thought he was a cool dude.
  16. Sorry for being a bit nitpicky here, but you need to paint some black around the dash "insert". Only the flat portion should be silver, or "turned dash". But you might have already fixed it....? Coming along fine. Good thing to strip the chrome off the wheels.
  17. That's cool, I have the Airfix 24th scale Mustang also. Always wanted to do a hot rod plane. Someday, like with all the other umpteen projects......
  18. Bob, it's a really cool car! Like many others have said, the different body parts all work together so well, it's incredible! The headline is a bit misleading, as this doesn't at all look like some Frankenstein. You fixed the too tall sides of the Challenger, using the Camaro body, and the 'Stang rear works too. Kind of like the old Impalas that always had three taillights on each side. Can't wait to see it finished. I really must get crackin' on some of my projects....
  19. You crank out some wild stuff, man! I like this one already. Sooo, what 'cha have in mind for paint on this sucker?
  20. Don't matter what it's made of, it's a slick car! I like the Willys rear window, cool touch.
  21. Wild car, outstanding paint, again!!
  22. Looks good! You might not believe this, but there's a '73-'74 Chevelle here in Stockholm that has the same paint and wheels. Looks so much alike....
  23. Really cool school bus! Now, who wouldn't want to go for a ride in that one....? Yes, educate the kids about hot rods. That's how I learned some of my english, looking at and eventually reading HOT ROD and CAR CRAFT magazines!
  24. Ohh wow, a lot of goodies are coming back! The '25 T, Meyers Manx, Batmobile, Fire Truck and a bunch more will probably end up on my shelves....
  25. Wow, this one's beautiful!! Really love that orange pearl. What is it? You build cool stuff!
