  1. Hey wow, cool cars! The Nova is easy to see..... Nice paint on the "Goat", I like those gold anodized wheels.
  2. Clean build! Sometimes simple is the answer, like the formula I read about in Street Rodder a long time ago. KISS=Keep It Simple Stupid..... I think Frank Oddo wrote it in his column.
  3. Another great one, Zed! Were you inspired by that real '58 Chevy, painted kind of like yours, but it's wilder.... The owner never drives it. I have Pat Ganahl's Hot Rod video, where he shows the car. That car is a show car, with LOTS of chrome!
  4. Ohh, slick car! Ed does great work, I bought his '33 Willys pickup, and it's a very nice casting. So I'm not surprised if the bodywork was clean.
  5. That's going to be a cool car! What color are you going to paint it?
  6. Thanks for your input guys! For me, this is not a hot rod, it's more of a custom rod. And that front end piece is really stirring up feelings.....! I'll keep you posted of the progress.
  7. Thanks Gregg for sharing! There were some really neat stuff coming out. Like I don't have enough models already..... trying to get rid of some
  8. I guess a "what if" is out of the question? I have two old projects, Jo-Han. First one is a '69½ Road Runner - '70 Superbird body with '69 RR front clip. The other one is made up of the leftovers.... so it's a '69½ Superbird - '69 RR body with Superbird front clip. I see them as factory test beds, one-offs. I need to finish them anyway.....
  9. Cool cruiser! I also like the traction bars, nice touch! Right out of the 70's. The good times, ahh nostalgia creeps up on me.....
  10. Good job Torgny! Too bad I won't be able to see it and the other models tomorrow at the BUCK model show. BUCK stands for: Builders of Us Car Kits. So as I've pointed out maybe a couple of times, if any of you guys happen to plan a trip to Sweden, let us know. Maybe there's a model show coming up. I can give you upcoming info.
  11. Cool cars, all five of em'! I've got a '67 Chevelle that's laying dormant for now. Plan to use one of those old MPC adjustable wheelbase chassis. I'll see what might happen during the winter, if I find some cool decals....
  12. You have some cool cars there! I really liked that 70 something purple Impala/Caprice, trick paint!
  13. Oh, how did I miss this one....? Like others have said already, it IS a beautiful paint job! Will look great with those wheels and redlines.
  14. Nice save on that Buick! What color are you going to paint it?
  15. Great looking Monte! Looks like the old AMT kit. Those wheels were a bit too wide. I built the kit back in the 70's. Still have it. Maybe it's time to build another, as a tribute.... We lived in San Diego at the time, and one of the local radio stations told the listeners to go to a Ford dealer, of all places, out in El Cajon, if you wanted to meet Bobby Allison in person, and get tickets to the race at Riverside. So we did. It was kind of nervous meeting a big, well known race car driver. I was only 16.
  16. Unbelievable! What detail work!! Your pics are really great as well! Thanks for showing it.
  17. Cool looking 'Bird! Dan Gurney was always one of my favorite drivers.
  18. Great weathering job! Looks realistic. But on that nice car..... Guess you can always build another nice one.
  19. Coo, err... I mean HOT paint job!
  20. Looks good! You sectioned the grille opening, right? It looks slimmer now. Keep up the good work! About using your camera; try a neutral background to start with. Other than that, most of your pics are good.
  21. Now that was a cool idea! I really like where you're going with this. Neat trick, that jig for the headlights!
  22. Well Marshall, right now the front end just sits on the frame. I have to get a radiator in there also. But it's got the right look now I think. Maybe some scallops in candy red to top it off. Something more to add a little style, or flash.
  23. Here it is now, looks better huh?
  24. That first one looks just like the Vitara, as they are called over here. But I guess you knew that. Aren't they around in the US?
  25. It's looking good Torgny!! Nice to see you here too, we'll stir up the guys here, he he......
